Chapter 10

AUTHOR'S POV

Jihae woke up as the sun rose. She still felt kind of dizzy. Then, she heard a sound from her stomach.

"Gosh, I'm really hungry."

"Good morning, Jihae." Someone greeted her as he entered her room while holding a bowl of porridge and a glass of milk.

"Ah, good morning, Taehyung."

Taehyung put her breakfast(s) on Jihae's desk. "So, feeling better?"

"I'm still feeling dizzy."

"Well, that means you have to eat now." Taehyung picked up the bowl and a spoon. "Here's your breakfast. I made it by myself."

Jihae furrowed her eyebrows. "Look, thank you, Taehyung. I really appreciate it, but I don't feel like I want to ear. My throat tastes bitter."

After that, she got up from her bed and walked toward the bathroom. But suddenly, she felt a pain on her head and stomach, and it really hurt for her. She fell onto the ground.

"Jihae!" Taehyung immediately put her breakfast back on the desk and helped her.

He managed to help her stood and sat back on her bed. "I told you, you should have listened."

"But my throat tastes bitter, Taehyung," Jihae said as she pouted.

"I know, it's because you're sick. Everyone feels that whenever they're sick. Come on, Jihae, please. At least half of it, you need to eat." Taehyung became more worried because Jihae's face was becoming more pale than before.

"Fine." She sighed, but she had no choice though.

Jihae opened her mouth as Taehyung started to feed her. "How is it?"

"I told you it tasted bitter." She rolled her eyes and gave him a disgust look.

"Yeah, I know. But you still need to eat, okay? I promise it will only be half of it."

"How about the milk?"

"Drink half of it too, okay? Milk is really good."

"Fine." She rolled her eyes once again and pouted.

"Baby, don't be sad. It's for your own health. You said it by yourself that you're still feeling dizzy," Taehyung said.

Jihae lifted up both of her shoulders and continute ate the porridge.

Taehyung was worried, yet confused. He didn't want Jihae to be sad, but he also didn't want if Jihae didn't eat anything.

"Don't be like that, baby. Smile, please? At least for me."

She lifted her head as she stared at Taehyung.

"Why are you staring at me? Am I handsome?" He gave Jihae his rectangle smile and chuckled.

"Yah, you're self-praising, you know. What an idiot." She finally said something.

"Then, why are you staring at me?"

"Am I not allowed to?"

He chuckled. "Whatever. Just, please smile. I really want to see your smile."

Aside from his request, she instantly smiled naturally because of his words. She also chuckled and continue ate her breakfast.

Taehyung smiled brightly as he saw Jihae's smile. He messed her hair and said, "Good girl."

"Jimin, I've told you to not stand in my way! I want to destroy Jihae's life, she already ruined my happiness." Hyemin raised her voice.

"But Hyemin, please. If you really do love Taehyung, you should let him go. Trust me, there are still a lot of boys who want you," Jimin said as he grabbed both of Hyemin's shoulders.

She warded Jimin's hand. "I don't care about the other boys! I want my Tae oppa back!!"

"I know, Hyemin, believe me I know. I know how it feels, okay?"

"No, you don't! Don't ever persuade me with your words, Jimin."

"I felt that kind of pain when my crush was dating with my own bestfriend. But what should I do back then? Get a fight with her boyfriend? It's useless, because I know that you would choose him over me!"

Hyemin suddenly froze and her eyes widened. "Wait, what did you say?"

Jimin raised his right eyebrow and gave her a confused look. "I felt that kind of pain when my crush was dating with my own bestfriend?"

"No, after that."

"Get into a fight with her boyfriend?"

"No, after that!"

"It's useless because I know that you would choose him over me?" He then realized what he said. He immediately closed his mouth and cursed himself on his mind.

"Jimin, did you like me?" She asked with her voice softer than before.

Jimin didn't answer her question. He was embarrassed as shit and kept cursing at himself. His cheeks became pink-ish.

"Jimin, answer me." He still didn't want to answer the question. "Did or does Taehyung know about this?"

He sighed, there was no way he could kept the secret any longer. He thought it was his time to reveal it.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?"

"Taehyung would kill me if he knows about this. He was crazy in love with you back then. If I told him about my biggest secret, I doubt if he would talk to me ever again."

Jimin could see the guilty look on Hyemin's face as she pursed her lips.

"But, Jimin.. if only I knew about this--"

He cut her off. "Would what? Be my girlfriend?" He sighed. "Hyemin, look.. I do love you, but I also want you to be happy. You were happy with Taehyung and I was already satisfied with that, even though I was indeed hurt deep inside. But, all I want is you to always smile brightly, it's more than enough for me."

Hyemin couldn't say anything. She was speechless and starting to tear up.

"Love cannot be forced. It's not love if one side forces the other side, that's why you have to let Taehyung go. It's not that I don't want you to get back with him, but I just want the best for both of you. He's already happy with another girl, and you should be too. It's time for you to find another guy. Don't worry, it shouldn't be me, you can choose any guy you want. You're beautiful, Hyemin. Believe me when I said you beautiful," he said as he carressed her hair.

Tears started to fall from both of their eyes. "Jimin, you said that you want me to be happy. But why did you tell me to let Taehyung go?"

He smiled. "Because Taehyung isn't the one for you, I know that. Your happiness wouldn't be permanent if you get back with him. And if you really do, you would be more upset because he would reject you instantly as he already has Jihae now. Believe me about Taehyung, I know him really well."

Hyemin began to cry. She felt really stupid for not seeing Jimin. She hugged him and cried on his chest.
