The small environment of copy-cat houses of Privet Drive, was enough to make anyone get bored. Of course, each individual house had its own flair and spark of individuality, they were all still the same, shape, the same colour, the same everything. The inhabitants of Privet Drive seemed to have never had anything exciting happen to the drive as a whole, and it seemed to be still. The only interesting thing about Privet Drive, is that Number 4 contained the single magical being in all of Little Whinging.
Harry Potter, though under age was a not a normal boy, not even in the magical world, but as of now even that wasn't interesting. And in four days he would be most likely to leave Little Whinging forever, and not return. They boy would be of age and spend the rest of his life in the magical world. However, in the light of things, it didn't seem he would have much of a life.
The magical community has now accepted that Voldemort is back, but that was news a year ago. No, it was the fact that only mere months ago, Dumbledore's death shook wizards and witches everywhere. Dumbledore was claimed to be the only man Voldemort ever feared and with him gone, many people had given up and lost all hope.
Even so, there are still more important things to address to. When Harry Potter was sent back to Number 4 Privet Drive for what was surely, the last time, he was to be watched. Not only by the Order and the Ministry Auror's but, he was to be guarded by a talented and rare witch by the name of Scarlet Wolf.
Scarlet Wolf was the first ever recorded wolf-blood, meaning one of her parents was an animagus and the other a werewolf. Professor McGonagall had given Scarlet strict orders to be the only other magical being in Number 4 Privet Drive. So even though Harry had Hedwig, he had Scarlet too. She sat in wolf form in the backyard, would walk through the house to the front and then back again, a form of patrol. The Dursley's were shocked to see Harry arrive home with a large black wolf at his side, and once its presence explained the argument that ruptured was quite interesting.
"What's this!" Mr Dursley shouted at the sight of the big hairy wolf at his nephews side.
"It's a security precaution." Sighed Harry, as he made his way inside, the wolf following.
"What do you mean?" Mr Dursley growled, and both Aunt Petunia and Dudley entered the living room with them.
"Look, Voldemort's back, and once I'm seventeen, the protective charm that keeps me safe will break, and that exposes you as well as me. The Order is sure Voldemort will target you, whether to torture you to try and find out where I am, or because he thinks by holding you hostage I'd come and rescue you." Harry sighed, "But, as a safety precaution, the Order has decided to place this wolf here as a form of protection of us and this house." Harry finished, however, he had left out the most important part.
"How's this wolf suppose to protect us?" Vernon growled again, pointing a large finger at the black mess that was sitting in his living room.
The wolf was large, black and clearly hairy. It's fur was as black as night which made its yellow eyes glow even more still. The fur use to have red in it as well, but that looked too suspicious and so it was dyed midnight black.
"Because she's a witch." Harry mumbled, bracing himself for the outrage of disgust for saying a forbidden word.
To his and the wolfs surprise, Vernon, Petunia and Dudley laughed, it took them a good few minutes before the treating get look reached Vernon's face again.
"One of your lot? Impossible! It's a dog, you just want yourself another pet, but no I won't have it! I've had enough already with you and your owls, not another animal will step foot in my house!" He pointed at the door, as though instructing the wolf to leave.
