Three o'clock on the following afternoon found Scarlet sitting at the same nearby hill, from where she sat she could see the great, white marquee in the orchard. Just outside the shade it cast she could also see four distinct figures, their red heads shining in the sunlight. Though of course one of them was Harry, disguised with Polyjuice potion, and was now the double of a red headed Muggle boy from the local village, Ottery St Catchpole, from whom Fred had stolen hairs using a Summoning Charm. The plan was to introduce Harry as 'Cousin Barny' and trust to the great number of Weasley relatives to camouflage him.

A host of white-robed waiters had arrived an hour earlier, along with a golden-jacketed band, and all of these wizards we're currently sitting a short distance away under a tree; Scarlet could see a blue haze of pipe smoke issuing from the spot, but it was nothing compared to the smell she so hated. Although she also hated her job, but not as much. She was to wait for the arrival of the wedding guests, and escort them to the marquee.

She finally got a closer glimpse of the four red headed boys when she was leading a multitude of brightly coloured figures. They began to snake their way up through the garden towards the marquee. Exotic flowers and bewitched birds fluttered on the witches' hats, while precious gems glittered from many of the wizards' cravats; a hum of excited chatter grew louder and louder, drowning the sound of the bees as the crowd approached the tent.

"Excellent, I think I see a few Veela cousins," said George, craning his neck for a better look. "They'll need help understanding our English customs, I'll look after them..."

"Not so fast, Lugless," said Fred, and darting past the gaggle of middle-age witches heading the procession he said, "Here, - permettezmoi to assister vous," to a pair of pretty French girls, who giggled and allowed him to escort them inside. George was left to deal with the middle-aged witches and Ron took charge of Mr Weasley's old Ministry colleague, Perkins, while a rather old deaf couple fell to Harry's lot.

A small drama later Harry returned to await more wedding guests and was surprised to see Scarlet transformed. She wore a pretty white dress, with blue flowered print, that wasn't too formal, and some white flats. Her hair was out, and rested nicely over her shoulders, and even more to Harry's surprise she wore make-up. She looked very pretty.

"You haven't seen Fred have you?" She inquired, and looked around as though to spot him.

"I think he was helping some Veela cousins- I mean, guests." Harry corrected himself but his words had already cut Scarlet.

"Oh..." She looked down disappointedly, and a frown spread across her face.

They returned to the arriving guests and found themselves face to face with a most eccentric-looking wizard. Slightly cross-eyed, with shoulder-length white hair the texture of candy floss, he wore a cap whose tassel dangled in front of his nose and robes of an eye-watering shade of egg-yolk yellow. An odd symbol, rather like a triangular eye, glistened from a golden chain around his neck. He smelt rather odd too, a unique musk.

"Xenophilius Lovegood," he said, extending a hand to Harry, "my daughter and I live just over the hill, so kind of the good Weasleys to invite us. But I think you know my Luna?" He added to Ron and Scarlet.

"Yes," Ron and Scarlet, chimed in sync.

"Isn't she with you?" Scarlet asked.

"She lingered in that charming little garden of yours to say hello to the gnomes, such a glorious infestation! How few wizards realise just how much we can learn from the wise little gnomes- or, to give them their correct name, the Gernumbli gardensi!"

"Ours do know a lot of excellent swear words," said Ron, "but I think Fred and George taught them those."

Scarlet didn't expect much from Luna's father, and this display only confirmed her thoughts. The Lovegood's were an odd bunch, though they were pleasant people and so Scarlet decided to hold nothing against them.
