THREE: THE OTHER SIDE

Her sobs echoes around the illuminated pond, various of different colored light bringing insects flew all around every kind of flower, making a beautiful scene.

Only no one was there to appreciate it. Kira couldn't even notice how the pond's water touched her feet softly, almost like trying to heal her foot injuries. She sits down on the mud, sobbing, wanting to get home. Wanting to water mama's garden once more. To prepare soup for papa in the evening and to brush her dog's curly fur. She wanted to sit by the fire as she cooks the evening meal. Kira wanted to go back home. To pretend papa never had a debt and they will live together, with no other things to stop them.

Kira wanted home. At this time, nothing almost mattered than going home.

"Hello there, little lady," a familiar voice makes Kira's head jolt up.

She sees the same blond with ocean-blue eyes, he was smiling. It was the first time Kira felt comfort since she started her travel. She couldn't believe how glad she was to have a companion.

"Hello Lougi, I meant Lester." She beams,

"I'm sorry, you must have mistook me with somebody else, I'm Loucas," he bows to introduce himself.

And that's when going home wasn't the one that mattered most. She was reminded of her travel, she mustn't make her sacrifices go in vain. She has to continue.

"I'm sorry Loucas, I must proceed futher,"

"This is your last warning miss, you mustn't proceed, please," Loucas pleads, trying to take her hand.

"I need to go," Kira firmly states, she's going back, no matter what.

"Please.."

And for the third time this day, Kira ignores it and starts running back into the darkness that swallowed her like how a dark blanket would cover up the light.

"She's really determined, isn't she. Well, I gave my warning and did my job. I'm done. Just hope she will really get home when she learns everything, even if she can never will anyway." Loucas watches Kira disappear as he himself turns transparent, little by little, until he blends on with the blowing wind.

Kira was glad. She kept on running, and there were no wolves until she reached the fork where she started.

Without hesitation, Kira runs into the brighter side. She smiles to herself how stupid she could be to choose a dark side instead of light.

It was when she felt the cold wash her over head, had Kira realized the cloudless blue sky before is covered with dark angry thunderstorm clouds. The rain started pouring hard, and she goes to a big oak to shelter herself.

She is shivering with cold. Thunderstorms that comes easily like this usually ends up in 10 minutes only. She wanted to sit and close her eyes a bit, but Kira is determined.

"I have to keep going, I have to keep going!"

She encourages herself. And goes out into the rain again, the hard pressure trying to shove her on the muddy rocks, but she keeps on going.

7 minutes,

...

Kira sits down on the middle of a puddle, cowering as the rain pours harder on her. Her feet couldn't carry her further, Kira stumbled a while ago, and is focusing on going back again.
