FIVE: CLOTHES

"Here it is, your room." The guy introduces her into a large two sided door. He opens the door wide, revealing a large, noble room.

A vast window occupies the opposite wall. Kira's jaw drops a bit when she tries to absorb everything. On the other half of the room, stands a huge bed, enough for 7 people to fit in, or so she thinks. Beside the bed is a candlestand, near it, there is the door that leads to the other side of the windows, a balcony. She turns her head a bit to the left to look at the other half.

A large closet occupies almost all space, along with a drawer with a big mirror. On the corner that faces the windows most, a study desk with a few books stands on place.

"Change and make yourself presentable, I'll call Aya to escort you. I'll be going, Excuse me," her master turns to leave.

"W-wait." Kira feels out of place, not minding who 'Aya' is this time, "Can you p-please take me to somewhere, uhh, smaller? Or more comfortable? I- I mean, I'm a maid, I don't deserve this room."

The guy tilts his head a bit, examining her, "That's the smallest room."

Kira's eyes widens, "R-really?"

"Well, my room is a bit smaller, but it would be unappropriate for you to stay there."

"O-oh. F-fine." Kira stutters, "Th-thanks."

She feels like something creepy is crawling around her body, like fear is rising up from her stomach. She feels as if something really bad is going to happen to her if she's left alone.

"P-please accompany me." She blurts out and bows her head again as soon as she realizes what she has said.

Her masters turns, "Are you sure?"

"I'm, I'm scared." Kira can't help it. She is being honest. Fear is rising up against embarrassment.

The guy sighs, "Very well, I'll be out, at the balcony, please change fast then." his shoulder softly brushing against hers as he walks past.

Kira opens her closet, various kinds of gowns and dresses filled the whole space of the furniture.

"Uhh."
Is this the uniform the old man was talking about?

Living a simple life, Kira didn't know what to wear. She doesn't even know how to wear almost all of the dresses.

She keeps glancing at the balcony, a few minutes had passed already. She has to dress up fast.

But she doesn't know how or what to dress.

Should it be this? Or this ? Or--

"Time's up."

"Kyaa't~!"

Kira hurries to cover herself in the towel.

"T-that was fast." She mumbles.

" Is, that, uh, how you define 'presentable?'" The guy tilts his head a bit again.

"Uh. N-no! You got i-it wrong! I- uh- umm" she tries to reason out, blood rushing up to her face, making that rosy cheeks again.

"I didn't know you were that, uh, let's see, " her master looks for the right word, "uh, simple, so, my apologies, but this is how you should dress and fix."

"Wha--"

Kira doesn't finish her sentence, Her master turns her around, removing her protective towel.

"W-what are y-you--?"

"Shh,"

Her master walks to the closet, eyeing the dresses closely, after a while, he pulls out a silver gown with bronze-colored linings, a pearl colored ribbon hangs at the waist. He passes them to Kira, who clutches it tightly,

"Wear it, it's simple for you, and fit for dinner. Go on, " He turns around, "10, 9, 8, 7, 6,--"

"W-wait!" Kira stutters as she hastily put on the silver gown,

Does it goes this way? This way? Maybe this way? H-how?! Wha- what is this thing? A ro-rope?

"3, 2, 1" Her master turns around, she has no choice, she had put on the dress the way she thinks.

As her master widens his emeralds, heat rises up to Kira's cheeks, knowing she faile--

"It's pretty." He compliments, a smile on his face. "Only, something's missing" he comes nearer to Kira and turns her around,

"Wh-"

He ties the ribbon on her back, "There. Now look at youself in the mirror."

Reluctantly, Kira faces her huge mirror,

A pair of chesnut brown eyes stares back at her. Her hair matching her eye's color, she smiles a bit on how her vibrant pinkish skin matches her silver-bronze garment. She sees her master standing closely behind her, smiling as well,

"Now, let's do you hair," before Kira could refuse, he fingercombed her hair and ties it up with a ribbon.

"See? You look simplier." He holds both of Kira's shoulders and makes her look into the mirror,

"T-thanks," Kira stares at both of their reflections for a while. She then notices that she never knew her master's name.

"M-master?" She asks, still focused at the reflection.

The guy chuckles, releasing her from his warm grip, "You really called me that."

"Well, what should I call you then?"

He smiles, "We should go."

"B-but." Kira forgets what she wanted to ask when she realizes dinner meant everybody in the house, and maybe she will be meeting with "they", or so she thinks. Nervousness, this time, eats her stomach whole.

"Come on," he holds Kira's hands and leads her to the door.
