Castiel woke up with a start. His radio alarm was now blaring what sounded like an Asia song. He groaned and sat up in his bed. The window showed light snow on the ground outside, but it was no longer snowing.
Dean slept peacefully on his stomach. His mouth was slightly open and he was snoring slightly. Dean always looked so adorable when he slept.
Cas leaned over and gently pressed his lips to Dean's cheek. He stirred slightly but didn't wake up. Dean wasn't a heavy sleeper but he felt so safe around Castiel that he didn't bother waking up.
Cas quickly got ready as he had to leave early to get to school because of the snow. It wasn't bad, but he didn't want to have a mishap.
He threw on his button up, tie, and trench coat. It was when he grabbed the keys to Dean's car that he realized he forgot to put his slacks on. He quickly did so and when he was ready to go that Dean had woken up.
"Mmhmm. Cas?" He mumbled, still somewhat asleep.
Cas smiled at Dean. "Hey, sweetheart," he said and quickly came over. "I've got to go, but I promise I'll see you at five tonight. And I have to take your car because mine is in the shop. Okay, baby?" He said, sitting down on the bed next to Dean.
Dean nodded curtly. "Mmmkay, babe. I love you," he said before yawning. Cas smiled and came close to Dean. "I love you too, baby." And he kissed him once on the lips. "Bye, Dean," he said and made his way to the school.
The ride was quiet except for the radio that was now quietly blaring out Metallica instrumentals. Dean had (of course) left the radio on a classic rock station which Cas refrained from changing.
'Fire. To begin whipping dance of the dead. Blackened is the end. To begin whipping dance of the dead. Color our world blackened.'
Cas really didn't see the attraction of the band, but hey, whatever Dean was into that was his own business. He didn't really have a preference, but simply chose to listen to Dean's beloved classic rock. He didn't have the heart to tell him he didn't like it.
He pulled the Impala into the teacher's parking area, grabbed his bag and got out.
As he walked up to the school and his classroom, he heard girls squeeling and talking excitedly.
"Oh my god!" He heard a girl squeel. "That looks just like Dean Metallica's car!" She said. Cas smirked but said nothing.
The mathroom wasn't that far from where Castiel had parked, so it didn't take long for him to arrive in his classroom full of eighth graders.
"Good morning, guys," Castiel said, setting his bag full of graded papers down behind his desk. There were a few scattered 'morning' s and 'good morning, Mr. Novak.' It was always lively first hour because everyone had just woken up. Cas was pretty tired as well. He heard a couple sniggers, but ignored them.
"I finished grading your end of first semester tests last night and I'm proud to say that most of you have passed." A couple more sniggers were heard and Cas heard a boy whisper to a person next to him, "Yeah? Well, what else did you do last night?" Just quiet enough that he didn't think Cas had heard him. He just then remembered the bright bruise Dean had left on Cas's neck the previous night.
Ignoring the comment, Cas called on the girl sitting in the desk in front of him. "Claire, dear, would you be so kind to pass the tests out?"
The blond girl with a couple corn rows going through her otherwise wavy hair stood up and took the tests from Cas. "Nice artwork, Mr. Novak," she said as she accepted the tests. Cas felt his cheeks burn, but didn't say anything.
