IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END
Chapter 13:

"Alina, it's dinner time!" My aunt screams.

I squeeze my eyes shut. Her voice is the most annoying voice I've heard in my life.

"Alina!" She screams again.

"Oh my fucking gosh." I mutter to myself while rising from the bed.

I sigh and make my way down the stairs and into her bland dining room.

"Finally. Are you deaf?" She asks while glaring at me.

I snort. "The neighbors probably heard you. Is that how you are in bed? No wonder you're single." I say while taking a seat as far away from her as I can.

She gasps. "Your father will be hearing about this. You are such a disrespectful young lady! No wonder even your dad wanted to get away from you for a week, I'm glad I don't live with you."

"My dad's working, in case you didn't know." I say glaring at her and staving my fork into a piece of chicken.

I hated to admit it, but damn it was good chicken.

"Is that what he tells you?" She says innocently.

"Just shut up. Did you cook this?" I ask taking another bite.

"Yes I did. Does that surprise you?"

"Yeah. Thought you wouldn't want to get your nails ruined," I say.

"I'm a Spanish woman, of course I know how to cook!" She scowls at me.

I put my hands up in surrender.
"Chill auntie." I mock.

She only rolls her eyes.
"Que niña mas tonta."

"Wow. Gracias. Could be the nicest thing you've said to me." I say with a smile.

She doesn't reply. I'm glad. I just want to focus on my food.

"Tomorrow we have to go to a cocktail party at my boss's house." She says suddenly.

"We? No, you have to go to a cocktail party." I tell her.

"I have things to do tomorrow anyways."

She finishes chewing her food before speaking,"I don't care."

I scowl, but don't say anything. I'm just not going to show up.

I finish my food and put it in the sink, and make my way to my room.

I take a shower, they're the best at night in my opinion, and quickly get dressed in my PJ's.

I go to bed, tired as hell, and await the disaster that I am sure will happen tomorrow.

•••
I wake up at three in the afternoon, don't act like you haven't woken up at this time, or even later.

I immediately go take a shower, and choose a pair of dark blue jeans, a dark purple tank top, and my trusty all black vans.
