She was obviously worried about Hotch. Maybe it was just obvious to her but they had a case and he wasn't there. She cared for him and so did the whole team because they were like a family but maybe she was more worried about him know that she was carrying his child.
She had left Dr. Barton and Reid to continue to look over files while she went to look for Hotch at his apartment. Her heart sank when saw the blood on the floor of his apartment and the bullet hole in the wall. She wanted to cry but she couldn't do that at this moment time because she had to worry about where Hotch was and if he was okay.
She calmed herself down before she had called Penelope to tell her about Hotch. It wasn't long before Penelope had found him at St. Sebastian as john doe listed under FBI Agent Derek Morgan. Emily knew then that Foyet had gotten to him and left Morgan's credentials.
She got to the hospital as soon as she could. Her heart sank again when she had been told that he had been stabbed nine times. After the doctor had left the room, she wanted to get on the hospital bed and lay with him. She didn't and she couldn't. They weren't exactly dating and she hadn't told him about her pregnancy yet. She hadn't yet because she didn't have time to and wanted to keep it a secret a little while longer.
She still had to make a doctor's appointment to confirm how far along she is. The tears that she had been holding back had finally pooled in her eyes. Instead of stopping them, she let them fall.
She was glad that when everyone got there, that they couldn't tell that she had been crying. She didn't want to explain because then she would have just ended up crying again. She could blame her hormones but then she would have to tell them that she was pregnant and she wasn't ready to do that yet.
She had stayed behind to be with Hotch while JJ, Morgan, and Rossi went to get Haley and Jack. She continued to glance at him as he looked at the picture of Haley and Jack. She smiled slightly when she had told him that they were safe. When Haley got there, she had stepped out of the room to give them some privacy to talk.
What she didn't expect was Haley wanting to talk to her before the marshal had taken her and Jack into protective custody.
Emily had smiled slightly at her before she said," What did you want to talk about?"
"I know that you're pregnant." Haley somewhat whispered so only they could hear.
Slightly shocked, Emily asked," How do you know?"
"I've been pregnant before, I can tell."
Haley glances towards the room that they are outside of before she said," The baby is Aaron's isn't it?"
Emily hesitated to answer before she slowly nodded and said," Yes."
A small smile graced Haley's lips before she said," It's okay, I'm fine if you guys are together. I want Aaron to be happy. I've seen the way that you look at him and I've seen the way he looks right back at you." Pausing briefly before she continued," Have you told him yet?"
Emily shook her head no before Haley had nodded at her. Haley said," Promise me you'll keep him safe, don't let him do anything stupid or that he'll regret."
Emily nodded at her and said," I promise."
