|Chapter Six|

- Kyrie

I watched as Devyn worked on her two problems. She was such a smart and sexy girl. I can't believe I kissed her stuck up ass. She still act like her shit don't stank at school but when she with me she lowkey be humble.

She's something else.

"You know you won't get any work done by staring at me right?" she asked. I chuckled at her and nodded. "You hungry?" I asked. I liked cooking for her. Everytime her facial expression was different. She nodded.

I got up and looked at the time. It was early on a Sunday morning and I had a fight tonight. I called my bitch, Sianna, into the kitchen. "Sianna!" The dog barked as it ran into the kitchen. She was supposed go be sleep but I think she knew that she was going up against the biggest dog in this hood, Hercules. This dog was owned by a nigga named Reelus. Reelus was a iffy nigga. He made my head itch. I definitely want Sianna to beat his dog though. Aint no other way around it.

"Go meet Devyn."

The dog just looked at me and wagged her head. I chuckled. "Living room now!" I demanded. She understood that.

I began to get my ingredients out to make some broccoli casserole, potato soufflé, and steamed potatoes. It had no meat, just the way Devyn likes it. The minute I set them all out I heard a horrid scream.

"The fuck?" I said running to where the sound was. I saw Devyn screaming at the top of her lungs while standing on the arm of the couch as Sianna looked at he confusing.

"Yo! what she do? She bit you?"

"N-no-no." "I'm scared of dogss," she whined as Sianna jumped up because she thought Devyn was playing. "Down SiSi!" She barked and I grabbed Devyn and carried her into the kitchen. I sat her on the counter.

This girl was crying.

I started laughing hysterically. "You scared of a damn dog?" "Yes!" she exclaimed. "Those things can kill you. Especially pits," she pouted as she wiped her tears. "Sorry," I smiled. She rolled her eyes.

"Apology accepted," she spoke softly as she looked away.

"Scary ass," I mumbled as she sat on the counter watching me cook. I continued to cook as I heard the front door slam. "KYRIE JAVAWN!" I heard my momma scream. She had been so busy this past week I barely got to see her. "Ma, I'm in here."

I looked back at Devyn and she looked like she was trynna' leave. "Yo, where you going?" I asked. "Home," she mumbled. "After I then started slaving in this kitchen? Hell nah. Sit down," I spoke demandingly. My momma walked in and smiled. She looked at Devyn. "Who's this?"

I made sure my food was straight and then began to introduce them. "Ma, this is my friend from school Devyn. Devy, this is my ma."

"You can call me Kayla," my momma spoke to Devyn with a warm smile. My momma never been too fond of me having girls at the house but she was cordial. "She's staying for dinner?"

"Yes ma'am," I said before Devyn could protest.

I finished cooking and by 1 o'clock. I fixed my momma and Devyn plate and then I fixed my own. We all sat at the dining table. Which was rare because I never sit at the dining table. Especially not with my moms.

"So.. What happened to Yasmin?" My momma asked.

"Ma chill. Me and Devyn just friends."

"Damnit," she sounded disappointed which made me chuckle.
