A/N: This chapter might be short but shit is about to get real...
|Chapter Thirteen|
-Devyn
I woke up the next morning with Kyrie's arms around me. I gently took them off of me and got up. It was around 6 AM and this was the last day of the seminar. I still had my heels on. I laughed silently. "How the hell did I sleep with these on."
I took my ripped stockings off and threw them in the trash. I put my dress on and grabbed my coat and my Hermes bag. I closed his' hotel door and went into mine. I quickly stripped my clothes off and went to get in the shower. I took a long shower, washing last night's events off of my body. After stepping out of the shower, I re-curled my hair because it had sweated out last night.
I applied make up to my face and went to my suitcase. I put my underwears on and then put my dark blue , knee-length, button down jean dress. I placed vaseline on my legs so that the cold wouldn't get into them and I then grabbed my brown and white Steve Madden wooden wedges. I went into the bathroom to apply my make up.
I made sure my face was extra made today because I would be presenting my essay. I wanted to keep it classy and not too overboard but I wanted to beat my face at the same time. I did my makeup calm and carefully, talking to myself in the process. I swore that I was giving a tutorial.
"And today I'll be wearing Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm. This is made my Laura Mercier. It last you all day and is very good quality," I mumbled as I rubbed the lipstick on my lips.
I looked in the mirror and smile. My face was officially beat. I got up and added a small brown necklace to my wardrobe and grabbed my Hermes bag. I decided that I would go down to the harbor and get on a pedal boat and then come back up to see if Kyrie was ready.
Me: Going to get on the pedal boat. I'll be back :)
I walked downstairs and walked to the man who was allowing people to ride on the boats. "Can I not wear the vest?" I asked. He nodded and got me in a boat. I kicked my shoes off in the boat and began to pedal. I remember coming to Maryland all the time with my mom and dad on business trips. That's back when we were happy. When my parents were madly in love and I was a strong girl. Now, all I do is cry and hold my guard up. I've become something I'm not.
I just kept pedaling as my mind wandered. I kind of needed this to relax my mind. I received two texts.
Ma: Hey hunny. I love you and miss you. When will you be back?
Darnell: Hey love, still missing you bestfriend!
I texted Darnell back first
- Missing you too hon' ! I'll be back soon enough
I texted my mother next. She never texts me so I felt kind of odd.
- Hey mom?? I love you toooo! My flight is Thursday morning at 11 AM. I should be home around 5 PM.
Mom: Okay ! See ya later...
I smiled. Although me and my mom's recent differences, I still loved her no matter what. She has always been a pretty good woman and was trying her hardest. I really need to start respecting her more..

"Did you text her?" I asked Darnell as we sat Indian style by his table.
