New Earth Order

Chapter 3

I was awoken by the sound of heavy breathing and something wet dripping down my face. My eyes slowly flutter open to see Venus's face so close to mine. I sat up and Venus took a few steps back. I wiped away the water, but then I saw a drip of saliva fall from her mounth and onto the floor.
"Ew" was the only thing I could say. I vigorously wiped it off my face using my sleeve. I grabbed my water bottle and used it to wash my face, it was a waste of my water supply but I needed to, I felt dirty.

I looked up and around. "Where are the others?" I asked Venus still glancing around. She gruffed and ran, then came back and ran, I could see she was leading me somewhere. I followed behind her and a normal slow pace, it was too hot to run. She ran around me and began to nudge me.
"Okay, okay" I said signalling with my arms for her to calm down. I began to walk quicker after her. She disappeared so I began to run. After a few minutes of running I finally found them, playing in the water.
I smiled, it looks so cute. I put down my bag and joined them, I sat on the side whilst playing in the water with my hands. I thought whilst I was here I should just fill up my bottle. As I was about to get out my bottle I heard a faint sound. I looked up and the sky to notice a small object in the sky.

"Oh no" I tried to dig a hole in the sand so I could burie my bag, but the hot sand from the top kept burning my hand. The ship was so close and I couldn't do it, I had no choice but to leave it there.

"In the water quick!" I yelled at them all they dived in, I did the same. The sound was a little faint from the water hitting against my ears, I couldn't hold my breath any longer. I slowly raised my head. I saw their ship, they had landed, and were going through my bag! That had everything in it. My map, water, food supplies. They would find me, I was certain of it. I didn't fear for only my safety but for the gruffs too. I continued to watch, they hadn't seen me yet, and I needed to know what was going on. They took my bag and left. They must have found some useful stuff in there. They threw some items out and aboarded their ship. They took a while to take off but when they finally did I shouted for the others to come out and they did. All their heads popped up at the same time, they were gasping for air, an other few seconds in the water, and they would have been gone.

I quickly made my way to the items they had left, they threw out the map, which was lucky, they might not have been able to understand it, it was useless to them. They left the empty water bottle and some pencils and pens. It wasn't much but it'll have to do. I filled the bottle with the water and put the stationary in my back pocket, along with the map. I just needed to get food supplies now. Especially now that there are more mouths to feed.

"Come on guys" I said making my way to the food supplies.

It took a while to make it but when we finally did I was exhausted. I took a seat in the shade outside the building. It was a rocky floor which made it better. I took a sip of my drink and the gruffs lay down too. I gave them some water too, but had to make it last, as I only had a bottle left but there should be some inside the food building.

After a short break I opened the door so the gruffs could enter, once they did I entered after them. I made my way towards the back as the anger boiled inside me. They had raided this place too, taking every last piece of food, then I remembered, not every last piece of food.

I ran towards the back to the cupboard, I hid food in there just in case there was an event like this. I picked up the padlock and patted down my pockets for the key. I threw my head back in disappointment and anger.
"I left the key in my bag." I stated thinking out loud. Titan approached me and took hold of the pad lock gently from my hands, he latched on properly. Tysa nudged me back a few feet Titan vigorously pulled on the door until it swung off and flew in my direction, I ducked down quickly throwing my hands up to my face. I stood back up and went back to the cupboard.
"Nice work." I praised Titan as I patted him on the head. I grabbed out all the food supplies and put them on one of the shelves. I went to the clothing section and grabbed a bag. It was a females bag but oh well it'll have to do. I was on my way back to the food when I noticed a clean fresh pair of clothes.
It was a black top with white sleeves, it was simple, yet nice and a pair of jeans.I took them both and squashed them in the bag and headed back to the food.

I grabbed the food and placed them neatly in the bag.

I still couldn't understand why the roamers where up here, it could mean that they are desperate for supplies so are heading further out or it could mean that they have more of them to venture out and explore, either way was bad for me.
I was about to head out when I had second thoughts. The roamers have already been here and raided, and by the looks of it have everything they need. I thought about it for a while, but I have a better chance of not getting caught by staying here. They could be heading passed my base soon, which would be bad if I was still there.

"We're going to stay here." I said to the gruffs. I headed to the back and grabbed a load of clothes on the way there. I lay all the clothes on the floor and sat on top. I lay my head back and Franklin quickly jumped behind my head, he let me use him as a pillow. I smiled and gave him a quick hug. I closed my eyes and took my necklace and gave it a kiss, it was the only thing I had left of my parents. I've had it ever since I was a kid, I don't remember it ever not being there.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
