Bang, Bang, Bang!
The gunshots sound,
A gasp, a cry,
My friend he falls down.Tears of agony,
Streak down my face,
I scream in my heart,
Into the battle I race. The lights wiz by,
Slower. Softer.
The cannon blare, furious,
Distant, my ears falter,My heart beats so loud,
Thum-dum, Thum-dum,
I should turn back,
But on I run.A spark of pain,
Glows bright and red,
All doubt, it flees,
My anger is fed.Obstacles fall,
With cries of defeat,
My fingers are numb,
From my gun's angry fleet.Blood is splattered,
Not all is my own,
In the back of my mind,
I think of home.Down my gun falls,
My hands aren't my own,
In the midst of a battle,
Were my true colors shown?Horror, it grips me,
My face matches the dead,
My commands, they frown,
Unspoken, all is said.War is a beast,
Running violent and wild,
Into monsters, it changes,
The timid and mild.In a fight for humanity,
Soldiers lose this trait first,
Through bonds and bonds broken,
Comes a bloodthirsty thirst.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stop the pain. Stop the war.
It won't be easy, but try. Spread love.
