Ch.16

Ava still 2 months along.

What? He has another girlfriend. I feel so stupid for thinking he would actually  change.
  Then Luke walked up to us, and when he saw his other girlfriend his eyes widened and he froze.
"Nina? What are you doing here?" He finally spoke.
"I came to see you" she smiled and twirled her hair. "But I see your busy." She glared at me.
"Luke, you have another girlfriend" I felt myself about to cry but I held it in.
"No Ava, let me explain." He pleaded.
I looked at him waiting. But then Nina, his other girlfriend, spoke up.
"Um, I'm his girlfriend, there's nothing to explain." She snarled.
"Your not my girlfriend!" Luke shouted at her. Then he turned to me. "We used to go out a little bit before I met you, but I broke up with her, I promise." He told me.
I sighed. "Is that true?" I asked Nina.
"Yeah, but we belong together Luke, not you and lil miss chubby over there."
She looked at me.
"I'm not chubby! I'm pregnant!" I yelled but instantly regretted it.
She looked at Luke. "Oh my shit. Luke is it yours!" She snapped.
He nodded. She rolled her eyes and stormed out of the house, leaving me and Luke.
"What the hell was that about." I pointed at the now closed door.
"She's crazy, we dated for almost a year. I cheated on her, a lot. And she new about it but she was so in love with me she didn't care." He looked at the ground ashamed. "I was such a jerk back then. I got board of her so I dumped her a couple a weekend before I met you." He kicked at the carpet.
I lifted his chin. "Luke, I know you've had a bad past, but I don't care. All I care about is our future." He leaned in and kissed him.
The rest of the night we watched movies and cuddled. I fell asleep around 10. But I woke up from my phone ringing.
I looked at the time. 3 am. Who the hell is calling me at the hour?!
I looked at the caller ID. Unknown called. The fuck?

"Hello." I walked into the kitchen is I wouldn't wake Luke.
Is this Ava ?" A mans voice asked.
"Yes, who is this?" I Asked
"It's Jim, your mothers boss. Um, listen I don't know how to say this but your mom was in an accident."
My heart dropped. My mom had two jobs, waitress and a middle school janitor. Jim was her waitress boss.
"Wha what happend." I stuttered.
"I'll explain later just come to the hospital." he hung up.
I was shaking so bad, and crying. My mom was my only family. If I lost her I wouldn't know what to do.
I walking back into the living room to wake Luke. 
"Luke please wake up." I shook him.
He groaned and opened his eyes. When he saw m crying he sat up. "What's wrong baby?"
"M m my mom way in an acident, take me to the hospital." I sobbed.

"I'm here to see my mom, her name is Casey Morgan." I told the desk lady.
Room 207." She told me.
I ran to 207 and busted through the door.
I saw my my laying in the bed passed out. Her face was swollen and bruised. Her left arm was in a cast and her left leg was also in a cast. I saw Jim sitting next to her bed.
"What happend?" I asked sitting on the other side of her.
"Well after her shift she left and walked out to her car. I watched her through the windows and saw that as she was walking in the parking lot somebody came hauling ass around the corner and hit her." He explained.
I started crying even more. "Will she be oaky." I asked.
"I don't know sweetie, she had a few broken ribs, a broken arm and leg. She also has a punctured lung."
I felt like I couldn't Breath. The room was spinning and I felt nauseous. I stoop up but as soon as I did everything went black and I fell to the ground.

"Ava, Ava wake up."

I opened my eyes and saw Jim and some other lady who looked like a nurse.
"Ava honey are you okay." The lady asked.
I tried to stand up but when I did my stomach hurt like hell.
"Ow ow help" I laid back down. It felt someone was stabbing me.
I screamed. "Ava, what's wrong" the nurse asked.
"My stomach, something's wrong, my baby." I screamed again.
Was I giving birth? Was it a miscarriage? "Okay, hang in there" she told me. "Go get a doctor" she told Jim.

Soon enough two doctors came running in along with a gernie and Luke. They lifted me on to the gernie and took me to a different room.
"Ava, what's happening." Luke asked
"I don't know. My stomach it....AHHHHH!!!" I screamed again.
"How far along is she?" One of the doctors asked Luke.
"Uh 2 months" he told them.

The doctors checked on me and everything was Fine it was just stress from my moms news. Thank god. Now I was laying on the bed next to my mom with Luke.
"Are you still awake?" Luke asked me
"Yeah" I told him.
"You need some sleep honey."
"I know. I'll try." I rolled over laying my head on his chest. He kissed my forehead. "Goodnight Ava. I love you"
I looked up at him. "You do?" I Asked.
He nodded. "Of course." I smiled "I love you too Luke." I put my head back on his chest and drifted off to sleep.

Im so so sorry for the long wait. I'll try to update more often. I know I'm annoying. So I gave you guys an extra long chapter. This was an emotional one.
