NIALL'S POV

"Come on Louis! You promised!" I whined, pouting. I was standing in the teacher's room of the Theater, where I could always find Louis of course.

"No," Louis stated firmly, crossing his arms.

"Why?"

Louis sighed. "Look Niall, I don't know if you're parents will even like me. I don't-"

"They already love you. And they can't not like someone who makes me so happy," I murmured. "Come on Louis, it'll mean so much to me!"

Louis bit his lip, frowning thoughtfully. "Fine," he gave in and I did an enthusiastic fist pump, then hugged him tightly. I had finally convinced Louis to meet my family, as my boyfriend. I know why he was so stubborn before, and I understood where he was coming from.

He's insecure, don't know what for.

"Great. Meet me at the bridge at 6, and then we'll walk to my place from there. Okay?" I spoke against his neck.

"Alright," Louis hummed, his chest vibrating from the action. We separated, and Louis kissed my nose.

"Now shoo! I've to grade these papers," Louis chased me out of his office, but not before I managed to smack that bum of his.

I briskly walked towards Old Bridge, the bridge that had somehow become a symbol of Louis and I's relationship, I thought, chuckling lightly.

And there I saw adorable Kitty Lou, standing over the bridge, gripping the railing nervously, biting his lip. His feathery hair that was peeking out of the red woolen beanie ruffled from the breeze, and he squinted cutely, flicking it out of his eyes.

"Boo!" I whispered in Louis' ear, and he turned to me with a smile.

"Hi," he smiled.

"Ready to meet my parents?" I asked cheekily. Louis gulped, and nodded weakly.

"Let's go."

Before ringing the doorbell to my house, I looked over at Louis, who looked a bit more nervous than before. I reached my hand out for his and entwined our fingers, giving them a squeeze.

"It's alright Kitty, they'll love you," I reassured him for the nth time.

"Yeah," Louis breathed out, squeezing my hand back. I rung the doorbell, and literally seconds later, my mum opened the door, grinning widely.

"Oh, there you boys are! And oh gosh! Louis! You're so handsome up close oh my!" And then mum pulled a furiously blushing Louis into one of her famous bone crushing hugs.

"Nice to meet you too, Maura," Louis choked out. Mum pulled back sheepishly, and Louis offered her a cute smile.

"Well, I remembered watching you and Niall from afar at the coffee shop. Like I said, you're even more handsome up close, Niall sure found a good one," Mum grinned cheekily, patting Louis' cheek.

"Where's dad?" I asked mum, hoping to end mine and Louis' embarrassment.

"Oh, he's out back. Fixing the barbeque. Go help him lads." I nodded excitedly, seizing Louis' hand and pulling him to the backyard where my dad was trying to heat up the barbeque. Key word, trying.

Dad's face was a bit black from the charcoal, and my brother was standing by0 his side, hysterically laughing at dad's efforts, and not bothering to help him. I rolled my eyes, and walked over to dad. "Let me."

Dad huffed, stepping back and wiping his face free of the smoke. "Of course. Chef Horan to the rescue."

Louis giggled, and dad turned to him. "Ah, Louis isn't it?"

Louis nodded shyly and stuck his hand out. Dad started to shake his hand, but laughed sheepishly and pulled it back. "Don't want to get your hands black, son," Dad chuckled and went inside the house to wash off.

I just grinned, getting to work on the barbeque and soon enough, the juicy steaks were ready. All the while, out the corner of my eye I noticed Louis and Greg animatedly talking to each other, and I smiled to myself.

It was already dark out now, and the garden lights had been turned on, creating a homey atmosphere. I speared the sticks with the grilling fork, and set them on a huge platter, which mum carried to the table set outside the garden, along with many other food stuff.

We all finally took a seat and dug in. "So, Louis," Dad started. "Tell us about yourself."

Louis swallowed his steak, and looked over at me. I shot him a reassuring smile. "Uh, well I loved here from the UK about two months ago."

"Where in UK?" Greg jumped in.

"London," Louis smiled.

"Whoa! Why'd you move from London, to all the way here?" Greg asked, and I shot him glare which he ignored. But thankfully, Louis didn't look uncomfortable.

"Just a bit tired of the city life. And I was done with my studies, and old enough, so I decided to move out here," he shrugged, biting into his steak.

"That's amazing Louis," Mum complimented. "You're quite independant." Louis smiled cutely at Mum. "And I'm guessing you two met at the coffee shop? Mum asked, fixing her gaze on both of us, while we blushed.

"Yep," I spoke.

"Aw! A classic romance!" Mum cooed, and I rolled my eyes, while Louis nodded in agreement, laughing softly.

"And you said you were from London, right?" Dad asked Louis, frowning a bit.

"Yes?" Louis affirmed.

"Hey Maura, isn't that Niall's dream city?" Dad asked mum, who nodded, a mischevious glint in her eye.

"Oh, ye. You're right. Louis, did you know? Niall was obsessed with London a few years ago! He's still a bit of an anglophile. Wanted to move there to study. But it hadn't worked out and... yeah. And I just thought that it's nice he met someone who's a Londoner," Mum explained to Louis, who was listening intently.

"Wow. I didn't know that Nialler?" Louis raised an eyebrow, and I shrugged. A thoughtful expression then crossed his face, and I nudged him.

"Huh?"

"What are you thinking?"

"Nothing much," Louis murmured, looking down at his hands, but I managed to catch the small, mischievous smirk on his lips.

What is he up to now?
