My name is Poppy Moore. I am 18 and I have just found out I am getting an arranged marriage.
This might not have happened if my mother wasn't an alcoholic. She blames all her problems on me because my dad is not there to blame. He left us two years ago for another woman he met on the internet. He was the only man I ever trusted but I have learned now that I should never trust anyone because they could walk out of your life when you didn't expect them to.
For the last couple of years my life has been a living nightmare. At school I get bullied and made fun of because of my mum and my appearance.
I
have long black hair down to my waist, snakebites and very green eyes. I am medium height and an average build. People call my 'emo' or 'Goth', but I don't believe in labeling people.
I was pulled out of my daydream when my drunken mother said your fiancé is here. Shit. I really hope he is at least hot. Well it's time to find out.
