Pinky Promise

"Is this all an act? Is our relationship all an act?"

An akward silence filled Rokuro's room. Rokuro sat in his bed, still holding Benio in his arms.

After two minutes of silence, Rokuro finally spoke up. He wasn't sure what Benio was talking about.

An act? How do you even consider this an act?

"Benio, what did you mean by act? I don't get it..."

Benio was not awaiting Rokuro's answer. She thought he will get pissed and say stuff like how dare she think this is all an act after all they been through.

Yet she tried to reply because now she was confused. She figured out that what she said wasn't what she meant. Then what did she mean?
Both her and Rokuro wandered the same question.

"I mean... is um... Nevermind, please forget it Rokuro."

Benio, ashamed, started pulling on the fake rabbit ears attached to her pijama. She turned around, facing the opposite side of where Rokuro was facing.

"Sure. So you had a nightmare again, huh?"

"How did you know?"

"You only come to my arms when you are having a nightmare so..."

"I see. That's good for you to know."

"So what did you dream about?"

Benio thought about her dream. She had dreamt about Rokuro just caring about having the Miko and then abandoning her for someone else. If she told him her dream, wouldn't he think that she liked him. She was still not prepared to confess.

"Um.. the usual. Y'know about my parents..."

"I see. Anything else? I feel like you have something more to say though."

"Now that I think about it... I do."

"Alright, I'm all ears!"

He gave her a warm smile. After seeing his smile, she took a deep breath, and told him.

"Rokuro what if one day... we actually ma-marry and give birth to the Mi-Miko and.. um..."

Benio was all red. Even Rokuro was starting to get red. This took a lot of courage for Benio to say.

"Um.. what if we do all that but in the end... one of us really doesn't love the other and ends up abandoning the other. I-I at least want to experience true love doing all of that!"

Rokuro looked at Benio. She was serious. After thinking about it.. he wouldn't want Benio to leave him for some other guy after having the Miko. That will be just wrong and will leave him a scar, possibly forever. He understood Benio.

"Benio... I agree. If we WERE to fall in love, which most likely we won't-"

Rokuro felt a sharp glance and a dark aura. He fucked up...

"What do you mean by that, Ro-ku-ro..."

"I um mean it by saying that um you would probably would NEVER fall in love with me, right? Hehehe..."

"Um... true enough. Continue."

"Anyways, if we were to fall in love I would obviously want you to have the same feelings as me. And do you actually think that I would abandon you like that, after all we've been through?"

That's right, Rokuro wouldn't do that, never...

"I apologize Rokuro. I offended you."

"Mhm. So was that your real nightmare?"

"Yes..."

Rokuro then took out his pinky finger.

"Let's promise something, shall we?"

"Sure, but depends on what it is."

"We promise that if we do fall in love, which will surprise me-"

"Ro-ku-ro..."

"Hehehe just kidding. Anyways, if we do we have to promise that we will be honest to each other and always stick together. Actually, we don't have to fall in love to do that. So what do you think?"

Benio nodded with a small smile at him. Rokuro couldn't help but blush.

"Um then yes let's promise."

Benio extended her pinky finger and entwintied it with Rokuro's.

"Finger cut-off, ten thousand fist-punchings, whoever lies has to swallow thousand needles."

"Was that really necessary, Benio?"

The dark aura was present again.

"Wasn't I serious when I said that I wanted to actually experience true love...?"

"Yes you were, ma'am!"

Benio sighed.

Now what, do I stay with him?

"Do you still want to stay here?"

"Yes, if you don't mind."

She said yes!?

"U-um alright... come here then."

They haven't cuddled for some time. It was before Rokuro had found out his feelings toward Benio, so he felt flustered.

Same goes for Benio. The only reason why she said yes was because she knew she would regret it later on.

And they both kept their promise throughout the two years of training they had. All in order to defeat Yuuto. It was withought a doubt that both Rokuro and Benio's bound gre closer...

Sorry for such a late chapter. I've been hella busy. Not how I expected summer to be.
Anyways, next chapters will be the time skip they had in the manga. I thought it was about time to get there already because all the crazy shit that happens. For the anime people, READ THE MANGA. IT'S GREAT //crying in the distance
