Something Missing

The place where Rokuro was laying down at was cold and hard.

Huh? What time is it? Why am I laying down on the floor? Especially the hard wooden floor?

He tried to get up but he couldn't. Something or someone was holding him down. And it was... Benio.  She was resting her head on his arms, using it as a pillow.

H-How did we end up sleeping together!? And she's still sleeping.. But I can't lay down on the floor until she wakes up, it's really uncomfortable and cold! I guess I'll have to take her to her room since I don't wanna disturb her...

He had no other choice but to mover her head from his arm. She moved a bit, but after she stopped, Rokuro slowly and steadily tried to pick her up.

He managed to carry her, but ended up carrying her bridal style. He couldn't help but blush a bit. Now the only problem was that she was a bit heavy.

Luckily for him, her room was close since they ended up sleeping next to her room. As he slowly stood up, he managed to open the door.

He walked into the messy room were she had nearly half destroyed her posessions. He finally found the futon, cleaned up to maker some space and slowly layed her down. Luckily, she was still sound asleep.

Thank god she didn't wake up. It will have been embarassing if she caught me carrying her to her bed.

Rokuro then covered her in some blankets he found around and covered her with them.

I wonder if she's going to be better by tomorrow, I hope so though... I don't want to see her sad. Especially once I go off to the island. I can't leave her like this..

He walked out the room, trying not to make any noise. He slowly closed the door, gave one last glance at Benio, and closed the door.

Once he was out of earshot, Benio gave a low sniffle.

The next day, Benio didn't come out from her room at all. She didn't go to school either.

And neither did Rokuro.

As he was walking to his room last night, he had noticed something was missing. Benio was missing something. He had actually noticed it before while he had visited her in the hospital, but didn't know what it was.

Well, until now. Before going to school, Rokuro had showed up at Mayura's house and asked her questions from the battle with the basara that Benio and Mayura were fighting.

"But Rokuro, why are you asking me about that?"

"Huh!? Ah.. nothing important really, well I have to go now!"

"C-Can't we just walk together to school..? By rhe way, where is Benio?"

" She.. she's sick. And nah, not today. I'm not going to school today anyways. See ya Mayura!"

"W-Wait Rokuro- Why are you skipping school!? Rokuro!!"

But Rokuro didn't answer and waved goodbye. After all, he was in a hurry. He only had three days before he departed to the island.

After he was out of sight, he took out the talisman that took him into Magano and entered it.

Sorry for such late chapter, homework has gotten me hella busy. But guys, I have something to show ya'll.

I screamed at this! Worst thing is that when I saw this, I was in a bus and the person beside me looked at me weird. I wish I knew what they were saying tho ;-;
