Am I the only one who finds people who smile a lot intimidating and maniacal? I was at this group conference/seminar thing pertaining to anxiety the other day. Upon arrival, I met a friend of mine who had invited me to the said event and I had a small chat with her. Now, I'm not big on social interaction and I'd any day prefer lying on my bed, reading a book with my cats asleep next to me. So the fact that I was out there socialising was a pretty huge deal for me, as I (honestly) rarely leave my house. It's not something I take pride at, of course. Hence I'm trying to work on being more social. But anyway, I was later introduced to a woman (maybe in her mid-20s?) who was affiliated with the organisation conducting the seminar. And I couldn't help but find her a bit untrustworthy, as she just wouldn't stop smiling!
Okay, I know what you're thinking but hear me out! A small, genuine smile seems completely okay to me - you know, the slight upturn? But this lady had the complete Joker thing going on and she wouldn't even relax. It was as if the complete grin was her default expression and to be honest, it was starting to creep me out at one point. Like why are you so happy? That's obviously a fake smile! What are you trying to hide? Did you just murder someone? I don't know if it's just me, but people with huge fake smiles really get to me. Please tell me I'm not the only one!
Anyway, I was just going through the magazine's demographics and I was very pleased to see the diversity! FWOY's majority readers are from The Philippines (mahal kita <3), followed by India, USA, Indonesia and Vietnam. We also have quite a few readers from Pakistan, Canada, Nigeria, Egypt, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Paraguay and other countries, which is honestly really motivating for us!
Thank you so much for your support guys :) We hope you enjoy this month's content that we have in store for you! Please email me at fwoymagazine@gmail.com if you have any feedback or suggestions.
