I cannot believe this behemoth of a story is finally finished.
It started as a short story for RaeKitano (the prompt now long gone) but inspiration hit and, all of a sudden, I had so many ideas I had to put down on paper and I'm so glad I did. I was massively inspired by Secret Love Song by Little Mix which I've included in this note. Do please listen to the lyrics and tell me what you think!
The same goes for if you have any thoughts on cheating or the soulmate!au in this fic since that was really interesting to tackle. I personally hate cheating as an idea but cheaters aren't bad people, though I do feel like it makes Alex a harder protagonist for readers to like. It's sad since I love him as a character.
It's been a long journey for me, with a hiatus for summer exams and my internship, and it was one of the hardest things coming back to writing afterwards. Not because I was lacking in motivation but, for once in my life, I was churning out the chapters like a machine yet there was no one reading.
I understand why, I wouldn't stick around for an unfinished work by an unreliable author, either. That said, I feel this is the push I need to move on to different things. I've had a good run writing LGBT fiction but the friends I made seven or eight years ago, when I first started on wattpad, are gone. The girl who introduced me to LGBT fiction is gone and I don't have my support base anymore. I kept writing anyway because I published a book for LT3 and wanted to drum up interest but it's been two years and sales are low. This is as good a time to start over as any.
If you read this, thanks for making it to the end! There's also a Teen Wolf short (back when this was a collection of oneshots and I was wonderfully naive to how long BATR would turn out) so do read it. :)

Edit (May 2020): Because I still get comments about cheating in regards to this fic, this book is not advocating cheating or saying it's a good thing. The characters here engage in the act and try to convince themselves it's okay.
I personally don't agree with cheating so I'm in agreement with most of you. Please feel free to share your views but, if it's just to say this book is awful and promoting cheating, I don't need to hear it anymore. Thanks!
