Chapter 3-Awakened

I started to wake up but I didn't open my eyes. I was too scared to realize that I was a vampire now. I could smell everything in the room, especially this really strong rose perfume. My nose twitched. I knew that I had just compromised my perfect cascade of staying still. I opened my eyes and I could literally see everything. I could see every dust particle in the room. I blinked so many times that someone moved over and saw that it was my father.

"Hope, I know this is an uncomfortable experience for you," he said.

I could hear him so clearly his voice echoed.

"Will I get used to it?" I asked. My voice sounded like bells. I was shocked.

"Yes honey," said mother. "It'll get easier throughout the day," she continued.

"Darling let's give her space. Come, we have business to attend to," said father.

"Send for us when you need something or come down when you are ready," mother said softly.

I nodded and watched them leave the room. I didn't know what to do. What can I do? I slowly got out of my bed and walked across the room to the window seat. I sat on the soft cushions and looked out the window and saw the meadow again. I found myself drifting off and I am pretty sure I saw a unicorn just before my head hit the window.

I woke up to find it raining outside, but I woke up for a reason. I could here little tiny voices. I didn't know where they were coming from.

"Hello" said a voice somewhere in the room.

"Who said that?" I asked, looking frantically through the room.

"Wait, you can understand me," said the voice again.

"Come out," I told the voice.

A pretty little kitten came out from underneath my bed. It was pure white with beautiful clear blue eyes.

"Are you talking to me?" I ask the kitten.

"Yes, yes I am," answered the kitten.

I had to sit down. This was a lot to take in. I started getting scared when all of a sudden it started snowing in my room. What was wrong with me?

"Um, princess. You better relax before the room turns into a blizzard," said the kitten.

By the time I relaxed, the whole room was covered in a blanket of snow.

"Sorry little one, it is a lot for me to take in. I can talk to animals and make it snow. Is a vampire meant to be able to do this?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe your father might have the answers," replied the kitten.

"What's your name, little one?" I asked.

"I don't have a name," the little kitten replied.

"Well then, I will call you Destiny," I proclaimed.

"Thank you, no one has ever given me a name before," Destiny said.

I scooped up Destiny and started walking towards the door.

"It's ok, I will look after you," I said finally.

As soon as I opened the door the guards surrounded me. I started feeling anxious and it started to snow above my head.

"Um princess, are you making it snow," asked one of the guards.

"Sorry, I can't help it. When I get emotional it starts again. Look in my room and you will see," I answered.
