a disclaimer about my gosh darn pancakes;; ok so you make pancakes on a griddle. but if you're making a lot, u dont want them to get cold, right? so, solution: you put them, once theyve been made, in the oven to keep them warm. thats what my family has always done bc we are fatasses when it comes to pancakes and we make a whole bunch at once ++ and dont wish them to be cold when we go to eat them.

thank you for your time.

When Jimin woke up, he didn't open his eyes. That was his first mistake. His second mistake was nestling into his pile of warm, comfortable blankets, face smushing into the fabric. Suddenly, he heard a raspy chuckle and the blankets near his face rumbled with the sound. His eyes shot open and he bolted upright. He had been laying on Yoongi, he realized with utter mortification. Yoongi regarded him sleepily, the snapback firmly covering his hair. Jimin rubbed his eyes, sure that he looked a mess, and hid in the blankets. He looked hideous in the morning, and they had stayed up late besides; he didn't want Yoongi to see him. As he crammed his face into the blankets, he thought it was unfair how cute Yoongi looked in the morning; eyes swollen and features softer from sleep. With the intention of falling back asleep and not waking up ever, Jimin started to get comfortable in the blankets again. He turned so his back was facing Yoongi, but he could still sense the boy sitting close to him.

"Jiminie," Yoongi whined, voice raspy and subdued in the morning quiet. Jimin's heart violently lurched at the nickname. "I'm hungry."

Jimin sighed and forced himself to sit up. He did his best to cover his face with his hands, leaning on them so it would look like he wasn't hiding himself. But Yoongi leaned forward and removed Jimin's hands from his cheeks gently, placing them in his lap.

"You look so cute and squishy in the morning," Yoongi said. Jimin glared at him and quickly stole his snapback, putting it on while Yoongi protested, making a half-hearted swipe for the hat.

"I'm, like, bogged down by these blankets, you had an unfair advantage!"

"Whatcha gonna do about it?" Jimin asked, gloating. He positioned the hat so the bill stuck out in front of him. Despite what Yoongi had said about him looking cute, he didn't believe it. He moved the blankets off him and saw that he was wearing sweatpants and a white t shirt. He didn't remember when he had changed last night, but he was glad he did; waking up in skinny jeans was not his idea of a fun time.

"When did you wake up?" Jimin asked, inspecting Yoongi. The boy's faded blue hair stuck up crazily all over his head, and Jimin desperately wanted to smooth it down for him. Yoongi shrugged, and he looked soft in his sweatshirt. Jimin just wanted to cuddle with him, but he forced himself to stand and walk into the kitchen. He heard the blanket nest rustling and assumed that Yoongi was following him. Jimin rummaged through the cupboards while Yoongi hopped onto the counter and watched him, blinking slowly. Yoongi wanted to sleep again; it was only 12:40 and usually he didn't get out of bed until one thirty. But as he watched Jimin move around the kitchen in search of food, he found that he didn't mind being up so early.

Jimin eventually found pancake mix, and they made it together. Well, Jimin made the pancakes and Yoongi made a mess. He managed to get the batter on every available surface; the counter top, Jimin's cheek, his own face. Jimin did his best to ignore Yoongi, concentrating on mixing the batter. When the pancakes went in the oven, he fixed Yoongi with a stern gaze.

"Clean up the mess," he ordered. Yoongi looked at him pleadingly, and Jimin raised the wooden mixing spoon threateningly, his cheeky smile ruining the action. Yoongi rolled his eyes and cleaned up his mess, wiping his cheek. He then proceeded to wipe that on Jimin's cheek.
