The next morning, Jimin had trouble keeping the image of mid-nightmare Yoongi out of his head. He didn't mention it once throughout the whole day. Yoongi even made a remark about how he slept better now that his cousin wasn't bringing random girls into their apartment, and Jimin bit his lip and tried not to say anything.

At ten o'clock, Jungkook came into the store. The first thing he noticed was Yoongi watering the ferns atop the piano. His face lit up, and he broke into a grin.

"When did you get a piano?" He gasped, and went over to it. He and Yoongi started talking about something that Jimin couldn't hear- most likely their favorite composers, or something equally dorky- so he just watched in amusement. Their heads bent together, and Jungkook kept using his hands excitedly. Jimin noticed for the first time how Yoongi's blue hair was fading, so it looked more like green. Then Jungkook sat down at the bench and started playing, whipping out something extremely complicated. Jimin sighed and threw up his hands. He walked over and stood next to Yoongi as they watched Jungkook play. As if the younger boy could feel their gazes on him, his lips formed a shy smile, but he didn't look up from the keys. When he finished, he grinned at them.

"You think you're special?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin was about to hit him when he and Jungkook switched places(Jungkook looking excited enough to pee) and Yoongi began to play. Were they really having a competition to see who was better?

"Does everyone know how to play piano but me?"Jimin demanded in frustration. Jungkook laughed, and Yoongi turned around, ceasing to play.

"I guess I'll have to teach you something, then," Yoongi said. For some reason, Jimin's heart seemed to skip a beat when he looked into Yoongi's wide eyes.

"Um, okay," he managed to reply. Yoongi smirked and Jungkook snickered. Jimin glared at him, then they moved over to the counter.

"Did Taehyung come here yesterday?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, he's really cute," Jimin replied, a smile playing about his mouth. "You guys seem good for each other."

"I know," Jungkook said dreamily. "I was sick, so he bought me flowers! He's so precious. Speaking of," he suddenly looked at Jimin, ultra-focused, "are you and Yoongi dating yet?"

"W-what? No!" Jimin choked out, spluttering. Jungkook looked disappointed. "We just got to the friends stage, okay? I don't like him that way!" Jimin continued to protest. Against his will he looked at Yoongi, sitting at the piano, fairy lights glowing softly as he played. Jungkook gave him a knowing look and left without buying anything, leaving Jimin blushing behind the counter.

"Jimin! Get over here so I can teach you something," Yoongi called. Jimin swallowed nervously. He sat down next to Yoongi, remembering the first night they had gotten the piano; how the fairy lights had softly illuminated the dark folding around them. He cleared his throat and found Yoongi staring at him.

"W-what are you going to t-teach me?" Jimin managed to say. Yoongi hummed thoughtfully, biting his lower lip in concentration. Then he stuck his tongue out a little bit, and Jimin forced himself to stare at the ivory keys.

"I know! I'll teach you that one American song, what is it...oh! 'Can't Help Falling In Love!' It's fairly easy," Yoongi said. His exclamation had made Jimin jump. "I'll play it through and you just watch, okay?" Jimin nodded as Yoongi began to play the song, ultra slow. It had a cute melody, and repeated a lot of notes. Jimin was fairly sure he'd be able to play it.

"I'll play it with you, but an octave higher, so you can play the right notes, okay?" Yoongi instructed. Jimin pretended like he understood, then Yoongi sighed. He grabbed Jimin's hand, and their wrists brushed together. Jimin hoped the other boy couldn't feel how his pulse spiked as their skin touched. Yoongi placed his hand in the middle of the row of keys.

"Your thumb is on middle C, okay?" Yoongi said, then ran through the letter names of the keys. Jimin understood that okay, and then Yoongi tried to teach him the song. It took them nearly an hour; "No, Jimin! You have to press down all three keys at once!" "No, you were supposed to play that with your right hand!" "Jimin, what the hell, you can't play with your forehead." "I think you're getting it- Never mind." Yoongi eventually gave up playing alongside Jimin and put his hands atop the other boy's and pushed Jimin's fingers. Jimin's heart beat wildly, and all he could think of was the strange swooping feeling he had felt when Yoongi played for him in the darkened shop after they put the piano in. He found, to his dismay, that after Yoongi started pushing his fingers down on the right keys and saying their letter names, he could play it much better.

"I think you've got it this time," Yoongi said. "Why don't you try it?"

Jimin blinked, hands feeling cold in the absence of Yoongi's. He squinted as he tried to remember and played the song haltingly. As he went through, he became more confident and it seemed as though he could play it almost as well as Yoongi. When he stopped, he was grinning hugely. He looked for Yoongi's approval, but the boy was staring at the floor. His elation dimmed a little, like a balloon deflating.

"W-was I bad?" He asked.

"No, you did great," Yoongi replied, dragging his gaze back to Jimin's face. "Do you wanna play it together?"

No.

"Okay."

Jimin was sure he was going to mess up, but he didn't. They played it slowly, and about halfway through, Yoongi started singing, off-key, mouth clumsily forming the English words. Jimin's heart seemed to swell; there was no other way to describe it. Jimin didn't know what to do with these new emotions; there didn't seem to be enough space in him for their enormity.

"We sound good together, don't you think?" Yoongi asked when the last note faded into silence. Jimin's mouth felt dry.

"Y-yeah," he replied. Was Yoongi flirting with him or being sarcastic? He couldn't tell. All he knew was that he was starting to have feelings for Yoongi that he didn't want; he felt as though anything more than friendship between them would end in flames and a jagged memory he wouldn't be able to recover from.
