Deep in the sea near Tokyo, there's a portal that takes you to an Island called Fortuitous, created by a powerful, immortal being named Fortuitous. This island was created for people in need during the time of the Civil War.
Fast forward two centuries later, the infamous party girl, Kat Graham, is coming back to her home, Fortuitous. For the last few weeks of sumer break in Fortuitous, all Kat wants to do is have fun, but that can be a little hard when you've developed bad blood with an old nemisis. Over a boy named Theo.

Theo's ex, Lola Gordon hears about this and wants nothing more than to make sure a relationship never happens between the two. To do this, Lola plans to bring up dirt from the past and use Kat's own friends against her.
