Chapter Thirteen

Unknown POV

Jeff crawled out her window, sadness crossing his face. I watched him land on the concrete driveway, and run away in the twilight. A smirk crossed my face. Revenge was so close, Justice would soon be served. Giddy joy filled me, I instantly bottled up the emotion, stuffing it deep in my consciousness. It was nearly time. I sat outside the house, waiting. The sky slowly turned inky black, the stars blotted by the city lights. Lights in homes slowly flickered out. I listened intently, detecting faint, regulated breathing.

She is asleep.

Jumping into action, I climbed onto her roof, frowning. My mask firmly his my face, and the girl did not know of me. Few knew of me. Opening the window stealthily, I entered the bedroom. The walls were covered with distasteful gory paintings. Very indecent for a girl. But this stupid child had joined him, so she would be insane. Approaching her bed, I pulling a rag and rope from my bag, and grabbed the girl.

Her unfocused eyes flickered open. I was filled with disgust. This pale girl with black hair, black eyes, and pale lips would be his

choice. She opened her mouth to scream, I shoved the rag in her face. Her eyes rolled around for a moment them closed. Her breathing became shallow. I tied her up, binding her wrists in front of her with strong rope. The blade retrieved from my pocket was long and glinting from a street light. Slowly, I dragged the blade across the unconscious girl's skin.

Jeff POV

My wandering around the city was useless. The desire to kill was clouding my head, screaming. I needed to calm down. She had every right to be furious. I did her a justice. My felt hollow and dead without. All I thought about was stabbing and holding Juliet in my arms. I was going purely insane, more than normal. Laughter bubbled out of my mouth as I walked down the sidewalk. My hood covered my face. I used a small switchblade to cut my wrists, watching blood add another stain to the hoodie. I barely winced as I cut myself. Self infliction never causes me decent pain.

A police cruiser suddenly slowed down and kept in pace with my fast pace. An officer held a gun out the window, ordering me to stop. I laughed harder. Smirking, I let the switchblade flew threw the air, stabbing the officer in the neck. He dropped the gun, which discharged, a bullet whizzing by me. Annoyed, I ditched the sidewalk and ran through the backstreets. For a few minutes I stopped, my thoughts drifting back to Juliet. The faint sound if sirens reminded me to keep moving.

It seemed that everywhere I went, some cruisers were waiting. I was able to duck back in the shadows before being spotted. After seeing a few SWAT team members, I found my way into a warehouse, and hid amongst some wooden crates. The stale air was unnerving. Suddenly, I felt exhausted, and simply had to fall asleep.

She was in dim light, tied to a chair. Her hands were bound to the armrests, her legs to the chairs front legs. A grey blindfold covered her eyes, and price of duct tape covered her mouth. Her head was leaning for was, her chin touching her upper chest. I realized she was asleep.

Running toward her, I gently, grabbed her chin. I lightly shook her head, awakening her. A muffled moan escaped the duct ape. Whipping out my knife, I unbound her arms and legs, then moved to her blindfold. Yanking off the blindfold, I growled and gasped at the same time. Her eyelids were burnt off just like mine. Her wide black eyes were massive, and full of fear. Horrified that someone had touch MY Juliet, I ripped off the duct tape. A huge frown was cut into her beautiful pale face, blood oozing from reopened scabs that were her lips. I dropped the bloody duct tape, gently touching her face.

How could I have ever wanted a companion with a face line mine? A face so...........insane. Tears poured from Juliet's eyes. She sobbed painfully, blood dribbling down her chin.

"Who did this to you?" I asked her softly, my voice as pained as her own. She flung her arms around my neck, sobbing.

"They did!" She shrieked. Suddenly my family surrounded us. Mom, Dad, and my brother Lui. They were all normal looking, and pointing angrily at us.

"We have waited so long to punish you. This girl that you love will die for what you have done!" Lui yelled. I gasped as they all held large knives like my own. Juliet sobbed harder. I pulled her close to me, trying to protect her with my own body. Knives sliced through the air, painlessly going past me, and entering Juliet's back. Her face was pressed into my neck, screams of agony escaping her lips.
