Chapter fifteen

Juliet POV

My face stung from the slap I received from Jane, who looked furious. Her intense glare sent shivers down my spine. I had to be brave, I had to.

"What makes you think I would help you?" I snarl. "You kidnapped me, which shows you clearly don't trust me!" I add. Jane simply sighs, her anger dissipating

"I should have known that you would be difficult" she says softly. Jane pats my head, then paces around me for a moment, thinking. She stops beside me, and snaps her fingers. I gasp as two adults appeared.

They stood before us, side by side, staring into space. They were a middle aged couple, the woman with chocolate brown hair, and a kind, heart shaped face. The man has dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. Jane stares at them longingly. The couples turn around as Jeff appears from nowhere, ignoring their screams, swiftly slitting their throats and cutting smiles in their faces. The figures fade away like smoke, and a new image takes place before me. A girl with black hair is hidden under her bed, listening to screams. The screams fade quickly, followed by evil chuckling. The girl is Jane, a normal, human Jane.

The images fades completely, and Jane looks at me sadly. The couple was her parents. She strokes my hair, sighing. I see the same look I had after my mortal father died. A surge of understanding swells through me, and I don't flinch when Jane lightly kisses my forehead.

"So you see, we must stop him from destroying more families. You think you love him, but you only know his good side. He is cruel and unforgiving" Jane says quietly. I simply nod, feeling uncomfortable.

"I suppose....." I say slowly.

"Good, when Jeff gets here, you'll help me destroy him." Jane cuts me free, I stand, rubbing my wrists. Jane hands me a large knife in a leather sheath. With shaking hands, I tie the leather sheath to my belt. My mother grabs my hand, flings open the door, and leads me through what appears to be an abandoned hospital. She leads me to an old cafeteria.

Overturned tables, chairs, and garbage litter the floors. The walls are covered in dirt and the paint is cracked and peeling. The air is stale and it smells bad. Jane lets go of my hand and easily climbs on top of a stack of tables, watching the two glass doors at the far end of the room. The air suddenly felt apprehensive, something was coming. I climbed after my mother, sitting beside her on a dusty table. Jane suddenly transformed into......me. Her black dress became my loose sweat pants and green tank top. Her her lips turned pale like mine, her eyes becoming kind and only the iris and pupil were black. Her hair lengthened to her waist, and became as messy as mine. My jaw dropped open as I stared at a reflection of myself.

"It's just a precaution" my voice spoke. I nodded weakly and turned away, staring at the door. Jane mimicked me, smiling pleasantly.

Suddenly, I saw a flicker of movement outside. A group of .....creatures approached us. Jane turned pale and swore under her breath. She balled one hand into a fist, stretching her arm out. She lifted the arm up, and as she did so, dozens of blackened creatures rose from the ground. I gasped. The creatures had fiery eyes, horns, and black slime. They all held huge swords, daggers, and pikes. The group outside came before the door, a pale figure leading them. It was hard to see through the smudged glass. My heart pounded in my ears.

The glass doors suddenly shattered in a thousand pieces, and Jeff stood in the doorway. His eyes instantly sought Jane and I out, and grew enormous. Jane and I both stood up, only my legs were shaking.

"The fuck...." Jeff said slowly.

The crowd, I now saw, were beings from the Mr.CreepyPasta stories. Jeff, Jack, Ben, Sally, Smile Dog, and Slender man. Sally looked excited, And Jack looked hungry. Slender looked bored, besides being faceless. Ben smirked, and Smile Dog's tongue lolled out of his mouth. As Jeff's confused eyes darted between Jane and I, I knew there was no way I could kill him. Before I could object to the coming fight, Sally screamed joyfully.

"You want to play a game?" Her childish voice shrieked excitedly. Her tiny fist plunged into the chest of blackened creature and pulled out a heart. The creature fell to the ground. Jane frowned, her eyes on Jeff.

The battle began. They CreepyPasta gang fought the blackened creatures, and Jane created more. She giggled as Jeff struggled to fight. I frowned. Rotting blood and the scent of decaying flesh filled the large room slowly, and I felt sick. Jane watched, slightly agitated, as Jeff downed creature after creature. When one beast struck Jeff in the ribs with a huge hammer, she smirked, a smirk that did not fit my face.

Jeff fell to the ground, and my heart tore in half, tears ran down my face. Jane wrapped an arm around me. She told me that once he was dead, the 'spell' he had over me would be lifted. Jeff was struck with the hammer three more times, but Slender grabbed the creature with a tentacle while he fought two other creatures. Jeff shot him a grateful look, and looked at us. His eyes met mine, and I rubbed my eyes. He began scrambling toward us. Jane's smile grew. As soon as he reached us, his face three feet from mine, Jane stabbed him in the gut with a knife. Jeff was frozen for a moment, his eyes bulging. Then, he disappeared.

Bewilderment cover my face, Jane laughed, grabbed my hand, and everything became blackness. I squeezed my eyes shut. Jane's smirk burned into my eyelids. I felt my bare feet touch a dirty, cold floor, and opened my eyes. Jeff was chained to a wall in the room I had awoken in, the chains wound so tight he couldn't move at all. Blood soaked his hoodie, his breathing was shallow. Jane releases my hand, smirking. She held the bloody knife. Jeff stared at us, half dazed. Jane giggled, and stroked his face for a second, then her hand wrapped tightly around his neck.

"You sick, psychotic fuck" she yelled in his ear. He glared at her. My skin melted off Jane, showing her perfect, dark form. Jeff laughed maniacally at her. The dark aura around Jane intensified.

"Poor Jane, still being a child" Jeff said in the rough voice he used when he was angry. "You obsess to much with toys that don't belong to you" Jeff adds with a disturbing chuckle. The need to protect him fills me. I can't let Jane kill him. Jane ignores Jeff, plunging the knife in his stomach again. Jeff grunts painfully, bitting his lip.

"Stupid bitch" he growls at Jane. She smirks, twisting the knife inside his stomach with a squelch. Jeff roars like a wondered animal in pain. Tears run down my face. My eyes flicker to the knife at my side. I grasp the knife handle firmly, moving toward Jane. Hands shaking, I plunge the knife in her back. Something cracks, possibly a bone, and Jane lets out a scream.
