"I see, really the only thing you can afford with that amount is a shared home or motel room."

Daemon runs a pale hand through his black hair anxiously. "Okay then how about shared homes? Are there any studios maybe? I'm a producer I kind of need a place to stay and get moving."

The salesman scrolls through his tablet and nods. "There are only two at the moment. The best one would probably be Studio number 10. She doesn't use the studio or music part of the large apartment. I think that'd be best. Do you have any criminal history?"

Daemon shakes his head. "No, I assume you'll look into me anyways."

"Correct." He continues. "Any current issues with anyone. Are you into anything that could harm your roommate?"

"No."

The salesman nods, handing Daemon a sheet of paper with a ton of words. "The payment is at the end of this month. Pitch in and you should be fine."

Daemon signs the paper. "Shouldn't the current owner meet me first before allowing me in her home?"

"No, she seems to be okay with anyone as long as they stay out of her personal life."

"I see."

"Shall we go see it?"

Daemon took no time in packing up his things and transferring it to his new studio. The women who lived there seemed to like being neat. She had few things for a home owner. Her furniture was just an old beat up couch and some plastic chairs. In the kitchen all there was were dietary drinks and vitamins. The plates and boles were cheap disposable ones. Daemon didn't mind it though, in time things would be purchased.

The door clicked and Daemon froze in place. Blair and Andre stood in the doorway wide eyes.

"What are you doing," Blair shrieked.

Daemon gaped at her. "You're my roommate?"

Blair covered her face in terror. She couldn't believe she had to live with him. When she got the call of someone else purchasing the extra room in the studio she didn't for one second think it would be him.

"Andre, you know her?"

He shook his head in surprise. "No, I went to her to get some things for my girlfriend."

Daemon looked at Blair. "Look I know you hate me."

Blair sighed." It's whatever, just don't mess up my place."

Blair didn't want to argue, she was exhausted. As long as she stayed out of his way there shouldn't be a problem. She had to act like the adult she was. "We need to talk about some things after I finish with him."

"Sure," Daemon agreed.

Blair quickly took care of Andre. She was eager to get things clear. Blair went to her crappy little kitchen and took a seat at the crappy table. Daemon was playing with his guitar when she arrived.

"Hey, this is really awkward."

Daemon smiled. "Look, I may be an ass, but I just wanted to apologize. Since we are in fact sharing a space I think it's best we get along."

Blair grins." Aha, so you have a soft side huh?"

"I'm not a complete ass you know," He chuckles. Twisting the tiny knobs at the top of his guitar. "I can be serious when I want to."

"Yes, you made it clear the first time we met."

"Sorry." He chuckles," I wasn't in a good mood that day."

"Poor excuse."

Daemon smiles, strumming a few chords. "So what did you want to talk about?"

"Right, we need to establish some rules. Not just me but the both of us. So you go first. What do you want to avoid," Blair says.

Daemon hesitates for a short moment. "When on your uh...week can you maybe cover it up. I don't do blood."

Blair's eyes widen. She didn't expect him to be so straight forward. "Uh sure. No smoking, I don't like people smoking. If you really want to though, please do it on your balcony."

"No problem," He responds. "Keep your clothes on at all times. I heard women like walking around the house nude or half naked. Remember there is a dude I the studio now. Doing that is only trouble."

"I don't do that so that won't be an issue," Blair beams. "No sex in the studio. If you really want to go to the others place. Rent a motel if you want to, just not here."

"Same goes for you then."

"Don't worry about it. Won't happen."

Daemon goes to speak but quickly stops himself and says something else. "If anything is needed in the house we go together. I'm sure we both have different taste in décor. It's best we go together and decide on something."

"Smart man." Blair laughs." One last thing on my part. No drugs other than weed and cigarettes."

"What, you mean like heroin and cocaine. Things like that?"

Blair turns pale at the thought. "Yes."

"No worries, I'm not a druggie. Drinking alright with you?"

Blair nods." Shake my hand, that is how we close the deal."

Daemon grabs her smooth hand and shakes it. A soft look in his tough features.
