"How have you been dear?"

"Good, my job is a good pay and my boss is great. She was a pain in the-a pain. At first she was." She had almost forgotten how much her mother hated her vulgar language.

"That's great news! So guess who I saw at the market last week."

Blair waited. Secretly hoping her mother wouldn't actually make her guess. She had the habit of doing that and Blair never got it right. It also led to a long conversation on how Blair sucked at guessing.

Thankfully she didn't. "Joey."

Her eyes widened. Joey was a petite blond guy who had a huge crush on her as a child. It was something she didn't mind ... until she got to high school. His crush on her... started to get out of control. She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat and forced herself to respond. She never told her mom anything about him. "Really, that's great mom."

"Right! I told him you said hi. He was ecstatic by the news," She beamed. "I hope you don't mind I gave him your number. He just really wanted to hear your voice."

"Mom." Blair gasped. Her breathing growing erratic. She focused on calming herself; she didn't want her mom to hear her. "Why didn't you ask," she questions as she manages to recollect herself. Her breath shaky, but natural.

"I figured you wouldn't mind."

"I have to go mom."

"Honey, are you okay?"

"Yeah my boss is calling me."

"Oh then I guess you do have to go. Be safe dear."

Blair nods. "You too, bye mom."

Just then Silvia walks in and stares at Blair in concern. "You okay, you look sick."

"Yeah I'm fine." Blair sighed and looked back at her computer. Hoping that work would get things off her mind.

"Look at you, you clearly aren't fine. Go home."

"Silvia I need-."

"I'll take care of it. Just do extra hours tomorrow."

"I can't tomorrow."

Silvia raises a prefect eyebrow.

Blair turns cherry red. "I uh... have a date."

"A date," Silvia grins. "Would it happen to be with that fine ass man from last month?"

Blair glowed crimson and chuckled nervously.

"In that case have the day off tomorrow, but after tomorrow you work extra hours and bring him here. I'd like to meet the man your screwing."

"No! Silvia it's not like that."

Silvia bursts into laughter. "I knew there was a devil in you."

Blair rolled her eyes and started out of her office.

"Remember!"

Blair still shivered when she entered the studio. She walked through the frosty air and snow that fell. She took no time in stripping and hopping into the steamy shower. She still felt ill towards the recent conversation she had with her mom. Joey was a subject she didn't like to delve into. She hated that he left such a mental scar in her and he didn't even realize what he had done was wrong. He felt he still had a chance with her and that her rejection of his feeling would change.

"Blair!" Daemon knocked heavily on the door.

He must have been knocking for a while since he sounded so annoyed. How long was she in the shower, the water is freezing. She quickly wrapped the towel around herself and hopped out of the shower. Her foot slipping as she attempted to balance herself out on the floor. An earth trembling pound erupted throughout the bathroom as her head slammed against the tile floor.
