"Ashton what?" I was the first one to finally pronounce myself after we heard Phoebe's shocking news. "Do you want me to go there?"

"It was so awful, girls," Phoebe had her face stained with tears. "We went to his dorm, but he wasn't there and his roommate told us that he had been out since the day before with his girlfriend."

"Ashton has a girlfriend?" asked Emma. She was so worried, after all, she had a summer fling with Ashton, the summer after graduation and she catched feelings for him during that time. When they departed, it was very difficult for her, although she never shared with him her true feelings.

"It was just some kind of hook-up. So, the guy gave us the address of that girl's sorority, which was where they were. We drove there and this girl, who was so nervous but was also really hungover, told us that Ashton was in a car crash the night before so, he was in the hospital. She told us that he had to drive his girlfriend to Target, but the girl ended up throwing up, Ash distracted himself from the road. Suddenly a truck driver appeared and hit them."

"What's his condition?"

"A concussion, a broken arm, a few broken as well as some bruised ribs and some other cuts. His window broke into a million pieces, some of them were stuck in his back, so he had plenty of surgeries yesterday."

"And his girlfriend?"

"She only sprained her wrist. Stupid bitch, we talked to her, she said that she didn't want to have anything to do with Ashton anymore. She also said that she was glad that he was the one who was injured the most in the accident."

"She said that? I will fucking murder her if I ever see her," Emma was beyond pissed, I suspected that she was still in love with Ashton after all.

"Do you want me to go there?"

"No, Liv, I'll be fine, don't worry. I'll keep you both updated. Now, tell me, who's that guy you are living with?"

"You know him, he's Ace Williams."

"That hottie who was a senior?" asked Phoebe, eager for some juicy news.

"I think that he also goes to UC Berkeley and that he still plays basketball. Dayum gurl, you sure scored yourself a hot guy!" added Emma.

"Yeah, whatever, I'm not into him, y'know," I rolled my eyes as I petted Mr. Snowie. "What about that guy, Em?"

"His name is Gabriel, he's so freaking handsome, he cares so much about everyone around him. I've never met any boy like him before."

"How did you meet him?"

"He's working on my grandparents' farm. My mother told me that he has already worked there the summer before but since I didn't go there, I never met him. Grandma is always saying that he's a true gentleman, I think that she's in love with him!" Emma laughed, with a twinkle in her eyes. "I was going to the stables when I tripped and nearly fell down. Gabriel grabbed me and we stayed the whole night talking about our hopes and dreams."

"So cute! You really deserve the best, Em," said Phebs, joy in her eyes, hearing that at least one of her best friends was happy with her life. "What does he want to do?"

"He wants to help his parents in transforming a part of their farm in a hotel once he finishes college. Gabriel told me that it has always been his dream."

We continued chatting away during the rest of the night. I felt myself becoming more and more sleepy, my eyelids becoming heavier. Soon, I said goodbye to Phoebe and Emma. I turned around, burying my head in the pillow, as I felt Snowie moving around before finally settling on my feet to sleep.
