Olivia Rose Spencer

I must be hearing things. Was Ace saying that his brother actually drove a car into his bike, potentially killing him?

"What?" I screeched.

"My brother, Livvie, he rammed his car into my bike from the side, and I went flying. He fled the scene, whilst I laid on the street bleeding. I mean, I wasn't sure it was him, the car seemed like his, but, despite everything, I didn't want to believe that he would be able to do something so evil. Well, when I was in the hospital, he came to visit and he laughed to my fucking face about how it felt so good to see me flying through the air... the bastard had the audacity to tell me that he only wanted to scare me a bit. Livvie... I was in a coma for three days."

"Oh my fucking god, that's absolutely horrible..." I sat down next to him, holding his hand in mine.

"I dislocated my left shoulder, I broke my nose, I broke my wrist, I had internal bleeding all over my body, a concussion, and several other mild injuries. He took what I loved the most away from me, my bike, because obviously, my parents never let me buy another one. I loved riding my bike, it was my source of freedom, and it was how I ran away from everything... I've ridden bikes of my friends but it's not the same as my Harley."

"That's fucked up."

Ace shrugs his shoulders, as if saying 'That's how it is', but I can't help but be horrified at his brother's personality.

"We were actually really close before but then... Well, that's a story for another day, amore."

He got up, stretching his arms up, his shirt rode up a bit, and I caught a sliver of his tan abdomen. It wasn't his impressive abs that caught my attention, but the huge scar that ran horizontally there, it was almost the width of my pinky finger and about three inches long. Now that I was looking... I noticed he had several scars on his arms. I spotted a faint line by his lightning tattoo and another one on his wrist, which must have been from his bike accident, close to a tattoo of a small cross. Did he have so many tattoos because he was littered with scars? Or was I over reading things? Ace caught me looking and he shook his head softly.

"Let's head to bed," I blushed at his words as I thought of actually heading to bed to him.

What the fuck is going on in my brain?

"Are you working tomorrow?" I asked as a brilliant idea popped up in my brain.

"Only during the afternoon, why?"

"I wanna take you somewhere during the morning if that's okay?"

"Of course, Livvie! 10 am?"

I nodded, and went to my room to sleep. On the next day, after showering, Oliver and I made chocolate chip pancakes, which were his favourite, and soon Ace also joined for breakfast.

"Where are we going, amore?"

"I'm not telling, it's a surprise."

"Oliver, do you know where we are going?" Oliver stared down to his plate. "You know, don't you, bud? Can you tell me?"

"I can't, Ace, my sister already said it's a surprise."

"We'll play basketball afterwards," Oliver glanced quickly at me.

"No, no, Oliver, you can't betray your sister."

"I won't betray my sister, Ace," said my brother solemnly.

"I guess I'll have to wait. I'll take you to play basketball, anyways, if you want to, Ollie."

"Really, Ace?", my roommate nodded at my brother's question, and Oliver's face lit up. "You're the best... after my sister, of course."
