Chapter 1: A New School

Angel's P.O.V.

It's freezing cold and it's snowing I see a guy with glowing red eyes. I couldn't see the guys face because he is wearing a hood. I could only see his eyes. Something about this guy just says that he cannot be trusted. I can't hear what he is saying because the wind is howling in my ears. He is walking closer to me. I take a few steps back falling back on the cold snow. Another guy comes out of nowhere and kills the guy. I look at this guy curiously. He has dark brown hair and his eyes are a dark red but they are not glowing like the other guy.For some reason this guy didn't seem dangerous. I felt like I could trust him. "Come with me I know a place that is safe," the guy said with an expression that said it's not safe.

"How can I trust you?" I asked a bit coldly.

"He wanted to kill you but I saved you," the guy stated with no expression pointing to the body of the guy from before.

"What is your name?" I asked/snapped.

"My name is Kaname Kuran," Kaname said narrowing his eyes at me.

"My name is Angel Night and I trust you Kaname Kuran," I stated with a glare.

I then decide that I would follow Kaname since I have nowhere else to go. I follow Kaname to a school. The school was called Cross academy. We walk up to the gate. Then I wake up. I am in the middle of a field. I don't remember anything about what happened. 'I was dreaming again,' I thought to myself.

I stand up and look around. I am in the middle of a field covered in snow. Where am I?

A guy walks up to me. He has black hair and has an eye patch covering his left eye and part of his cheek. He looks familiar; where have I seen him? Then I remember he is a vampire hunter. I ran into him before his name is Toga Yagari. "Angel you know it's not safe out here because of the vampires trying to kill you," he stated concerned.

"I don't remember that's the problem. I don't remember how I even got out here," I snapped at him and narrow my eyes at him.

"What do you remember?" Toga questioned.

"I remember that your name is Toga Yagari and that you are a vampire hunter, but I don't remember anything else," I stated still glaring at him.

"Damn that vampire he must have erased your memory," he cursed under his breath with a pissed off look.

"Who?" I asked curiously.

"No one important. Kaien Cross is looking for you," he told me with a serious look.

'Was that dream really a dream or was it my past?' I thought to myself.

I follow Toga to the headmasters house. The door opens and we see Kaien Cross. "Where have you been?" he asked me with concern and crushes me with a hug.

"I woke up in some field. I don't remember how I got there though," I stated nonchalantly.

"I think a vampire might have erased her memory," Toga stated and he had the pissed off look again.

"Come to my office I think the vampire you are looking for is there," Kaien said seriously.

Then he turns to me and smiles. "Angel why don't you go get some rest you have school tomorrow," he told me cheerfully.

I nod in reply and walk towards my room. I might not remember some things but I do remember some people. I do remember that I share a room with Yuki Cross. I remember that I'm on the disciplinary committee with Zero and Yuki. I walk in my room to see Yuki is already asleep. I grab a long sleeve shirt and dark jeans and walk in the bathroom. I know that if I want answers there is only one vampire that can give me them and that is Kaname Kuran. Once changed I slip my jacket on and sneak towards the headmasters office.

I hear talking inside so I decide to listen in. "There was a level E that's why I did it," I heard Kaname state coldly.

"What's a level E doing here?" Toga asked concerned/pissed.

"I don't know, but I think it might have to do with Angel," Kaien stated seriously.

"I don't think Angel is human. I think she is a vampire, but not any vampire a Pureblood," Kaname stated nonchalantly.

My eyes widen in disbelief. I couldn't be a Pureblood vampire. I'm just a human. I walk quietly away from the door and head outside to the fountain. I sit on a bench near the fountain. I put my head in my hands trying to think about what Kaname said. "What are you still doing up?" I heard someone ask a bit coldly.

I look up to see Zero standing there. "Couldn't sleep. What are you doing out here?" I asked/shot back.

"I was doing another perimeter check before I went to bed. Something's bothering you I can tell," Zero stated with a little concern.

"It's nothing Zero. I just can't sleep that's all," I snapped.

"Whatever," Zero said glaring before walking away.

"Night Angel," Zero said with a small wave not looking back.

Once he was gone I think about what Kaname said. 'How can I be a Pureblood vampire?' I thought to myself.

"This doesn't make sense," I stated with a sigh.

"What doesn't?" I heard someone ask curiously.

Startled I look to see Kaname standing in front of me with a look of concern and worry. "Why did you erase my memory? I know it was you who erased it," I said with a glare.

I wanted answers and I wanted them now. "I had no choice I didn't want to but you weren't ready to know the truth," Kaname stated with a sorry expression.

"What truth?" I asked coldly.

"Angel I can't tell you that," Kaname said seriously.

"Tell me what that I'm not human. That I'm a Pureblood vampire. Yeah I heard what you said. So I want to know now why you erased my memory Kaname Kuran," I snapped.

I never said Kaname's full name unless I was mad. He knew it too. "Angel I erased your memory because a level E attacked you. I also erased it because you weren't ready to know that you are a Pureblood vampire. I erased it so that my uncle couldn't find you. Angel my uncle wants you dead. He killed your parents," Kaname shot back with a glare.

"Something tells me I already knew that, and that is why you erased my memory in the first place," I snapped still glaring at Kaname.

"Well I just found out my uncle is dead so I don't need to erase your memory," Kaname said with a smile.

"Did you put my vampire side to sleep?" I asked curiously.

"I did, but do you really want to give up being human and your friends to be a vampire?" Kaname asked with no expression.

"If I'm truly a vampire then I'm not human, or am I really human. I don't even know if I am a vampire. You said you put my vampire to sleep so that means right now I'm not a vampire. I don't know if I would be willing to give up being a human," I said thinking of my decision.

"I will give you a month to decide what you want," Kaname said truthfully.

I nod my head in reply. Do I really want to be a vampire or human?
