She wanted pearly whites
And longer legs
And a bigger brain
Inside her head.
A flatter stomach,
A pretty face,
And someone to love her
And give her a place. She didn't want scarred up arms,
Stomach, or thighs
Or so much fear
Hidden behind her eyes.

She painted her face,
All in the hope
Of not being a disgrace. No pearly whites.
Just shiny red
Because she could never be
The perfect in her head.
She wanted to be loved,
But love could never be.
And she hated herself so much,
And "she" became me.
