Where Did I Go?

Life is but a lesson but I think I failed.
I made some wrong choices and met the wrong people.
They say "never regret, for once it was everything you ever wanted."
I believe in this statement but sometimes you wonder, is any of this worth anything.
Is a day of happiness worth a lifetime of pain?
To let the madness become you.
To look in the mirror and to not see yourself.
Everything looks the same but nothing feels the same.
A broken record.
How does one find themselves again?
Or shall they ever.
