Despite having pale, scarless skin, Oikawa's hand are far from perfect.

The skin is dry. Rough... Hell, even calloused due to the extra practice he does- The arguably excessive practice he does.

Oikawa can't help but practice a lot... After all, his boyfriend inspires him. His beautiful, intelligent, and naturally talented boyfriend.

Kageyama practices a lot, as well. But not nearly as much as Oikawa... Not as nearly as much as his boyfriend, who wants to be the best at everything. That wants to be the best for himself AND his boyfriend.

Oikawa wants to be perfect.

Oikawa wants their relationship to be perfect.

"I'm sorry... My fingertips are rough, aren't they?" Oikawa whispers to a sleepy Kageyama, as he brushes Kageyama's bangs out of his eyes... Out of his beautiful, blue eyes.

"They are," Kageyama mumbles, in response,"But they still feel nice."

Nice.

Oikawa can't help but smile at the word.

He isn't perfect... But maybe it's okay that he isn't.

Nice.

He'd love to hear Kageyama call his fingertips... Or another imperfect part of him "nice" again.
