If you had asked Oikawa Tooru what his life would be like when he was 25 you would have received an answer that involved him being an Olympic athlete. His answer would basically involve him stating that he would be practically be living and breathing volleyball. That answer would not accurately predict the future. It is unlikely that anyone could have predicted would happen...
People are unpredictable.
Love is unpredictable
"Daddy you have jelly on your face," Natsuki, Oikawa's and Kageyama's adopted son says with a giggle. Kageyama, who had been teaching the five year old to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich was a bit to forceful with the knife, and ended up flicking jelly up onto his own face.
"Natsuki, wipe it off for him," Oikawa says, all the while handing the child a napkin. Natsuki accepts the napkin with a large smile. He is excited to be able to help his parents. Or in theory, help them. When he wipes the jelly "off" he ends up spreading it further across Kageyama's face.
"Papa, I need another napkin" Natsuki says. He is quick to notice that the jelly is still on Kageyama's face. Oikawa gives Natsuki another napkin, and struggles to suppress a giggle as Natsuki spreads the jelly even further across Kageyama's face.
He may not be an Olympic athlete, he may not live and breathe volleyball, but he wouldn't change a thing.
