26 - fear

Kageyama has a lot of fears. In fact, he has so many fears that he could write a book about them. Although many of his fears scare him to an equal degree, there is one in particular that sends a chill down his spine. A chill so cold and unnerving that it makes him shake.

Kageyama is afraid of love the most. He is afraid of letting someone so close... Letting someone learn about his strengths, his weakness, his hopes and his fears. All of those things could be used against him.

Even if his partner was kind and caring he would still be afraid. Hell, he would TERRIFIED. He would be afraid of losing their love and support. He would be afraid of losing them, the person he created so many beautiful memories with.

Kageyama is afraid of love because love isn't simple. Sure love can be warm and happy, but it can also be cold and sad.

Kageyama doesn't want to feel cold.

Kageyama doesn't want to feel sad.

Yet.

Yet as he gazes longingly at Oikawa Tooru, he comes to realize he feels cold and sad. So cold and sad that he may as well be made of stone.
