(Cammie's POV)

"Thank you, class of 2016! Live your life to the fullest and be happy!"

I think I'll always remember that line. Living life to the fullest sounded foreign to me for a long time. I wasn't unhappy, but I felt like something was missing. Eventually though, it found me.

"Hey. Ready to go?" Ryder asks, walking in the room to stand next to me.

I smile at him, "Yeah. Just saying my goodbye."

He smiles and raises three fingers, whistling the Hunger Games tune.

I roll my eyes and grab the last box, walking out of my room with Ryder.

We've been done with high school for a few weeks now, and after settling everything with an apartment near the University, we can finally move in.

At almost last minute we decided that an apartment would be so much better than a dorm. It's a lot more expensive, but my mom and Ryder's parents said that they're fully supporting us. Of course we declined, but our parents are very stubborn and eventually they won the little argument. I can't complain though. It's really helpful and I'm grateful.

After a long goodbye to my mom and May, Ryder and I start driving to our apartment.

"We've come a long way." Ryder says suddenly.

"What do you mean?" I ask curiously.

"Look at us. We're moving into an apartment, getting ready for college. And we're dating. I mean, I've only dreamt of a life like this with you. It's just so surreal right now. I don't want this to be a dream." He says the last part quietly, my heart clenching at his tone of voice.

I safely pull over at a reasonable speed and turn towards him.

"You're not dreaming, Ryder. I'm always going to be with you. Whether you like it or not."

He smiles warmly and looks at me. "Yeah. I'm just always scared that I'll wake up one day and find out that I'm not living this life. It kills me."

Without hesitation, I undo my seat belt and crawl over the middle armrest to settle myself on Ryder's lap.

"Don't be scared okay babe? I'm here. I'll always be here."

He nods thoughtfully and gently pulls my head closer to his, meeting my lips with his.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too." He whispers, putting his lips on mine again.

"Home sweet home." I say and sigh contently at the sight of our furnished apartment.

Ryder stands behind me and wraps his arms around me, bringing us closer.

"Home for now. We're gonna get a house soon." He says, sweetly giving a kiss to my cheek.

"Yeah. Not too soon though." I laugh.

"You right. Sooooo, next year?"

I laugh again and he joins me.

"I'm kidding. We have forever."

"You right."

A knock on our door gets our attention.

"Maybe our new neighbors?" I ask.

Ryder shrugs as we go to open the door together.

A woman not much older than us stands there smiling with a plate of cookies.

"Hi! I'm your neighbor to the right. My name is Gen. If you ever need anything, my little sister and I are here. I made y'all cookies by the way."

"Nice to meet you Gen. We should have a get together soon." Cameron answers.

"Definitely." She smiles and hands Cameron the plate.

"See you around." I say smiling.

She waves and walks to her door as we close ours.

"She seemed really nice." Cameron says, handing me a cookie before putting the plate in the kitchen.

"Agreed."

We sit on the couch and put on a movie, automatically cuddling into each other.

"I love you." I whisper to him.

He smiles and puts his lips on mine.

"I love you too."
