"Did something happen at school, Em?" I heard Katy ask. I looked up to see her and Jordan looking at me curiously. Carolyn wasn't here because she was supposedly going to go on a sleepover in her bestfriend, Rennésha's house.

"No, why do you ask?" I lied, before gulping down my water. I looked at the empty plates in front of them, wondering why they were still here even though they already finished their food. We weren't really the kind of family who waited for each other before leaving.

"Um, you're not eating so much.. and you're consuming more water than food."

I slightly glared at Jordan's comment before I looked back down to my salad with a frown on my face. "Even if something did happen at school, I wouldn't tell you guys." I mumbled.

"Aww, why not?" Katy mocked. I looked up just in time as Jordan elbowed her on the side. She yelped and glared at Jordan. "Okay, sheesh.. no need to physically hurt me." She mumbled with a pout. Jordan just ignored her and looked at me.

"Okay.." She drawled, seeming unsure. "Well, how was school then?"

"Shouldn't I be asking you guys that?" I mocked, watching her face lighting up.

"Ohhhh! I met this boy. His name is Martin. He's very cute! But I met him on the bus stop. He asked me for my number, but my bus already arrived so I couldn't really give it to him." She had a dreamy look on her face. Katy cooed at her, making her slap her arm and glare at her. "Yeah, what about you Katy.. How was your day."

"Well, I met a girl." She said, emphasizing the word, 'girl'. She looked at Jordan with an annoyed expression on her face. "I don't know, Jordan. I don't know how you can stay straight when you're around sexy girls all the time." I laughed.

"Ew." Jordan scrunched her face up. "You guys are my sisters."

"Yeah, so?" I butted in. "I'm suprised too. Especially how your bestfriend, Stacy, is like sexy as hell."

I watched as Jordan's face turned crimson red. "Stacy's not my b-bestfriend." She stuttered.

"Oh my lord," Katy exclaimed dramatically. "Are you guys dating?!" She whisper yelled, turning to Jordan, whose face was turning redder and redder.

"N-No!" Jordan exclaimed. "S-She's my.. um.. I–uh.. Nevermind." She said and hung her head low, making her hair cover her flushed face.

"Is there not one heterosexual person in this household?" Mom exclaimed as she entered the kitchen, with her hands on her hips. "Or is it just me?"

I looked at Jordan and Katy, who both looked up to Mom with amused smiles on her faces. "Don't worry, Mom. I'm straight." Jordan assured.

"Yeah, right." Katy said with an eyeroll as we all laughed.

Today was so uneventful. I went to school with Hanna ignoring me. She was hanging out with the Caleb guy. I was suprised how it didn't affect me as much as I thought it would have. Spencer and Aria chose to stick by me, though, which was a good thing.

Also, Alison flirted with me every chance she got, but when she realized I wasn't in the mood, she stopped.

I was walking on the sidewalk, on my way to Dairy Queen, when someone suddenly wrapped their arm around my waist from behind. I felt something sharp and metallic on my neck as I released a shaky breath.

"If you scream, I will kill you." Someone whispered.

I felt the knife run against my skin, the blood gushing out as my eyes widened. It didn't even hurt but I still felt it, and it felt disturbing. Then, the person unwrapped themselves from me. I heard their footsteps disappearing. I turned around, hoping to see who it was, but I was only met with an empty road.
