"A-Ali?"Alison looked bewildered and a little flushed too. A few strands of her blonde hair fell on her, still beautiful, face. She looked so mature. Her face became slimmer and her cheekbones were more defined.
Emily rose from her seat and stepped closer to the blonde girl, who stayed frozen on the spot. "Ali, it-it's okay. I-I'm not mad at you," She assured, sensing the other girl's discomfort.
"Y-you're not?" Ali squeaked out as she looked up to meet the brunette's warm honey brown eyes.
"No." Emily said and smiled, pulling the blue-eyes girl into a warm embrace. She's been dreaming for this day to happen. Not just the hug, but everything. Alison's appearance. They stayed like that for a moment, both girls trying to savour every second of this moment.
When Emily pulled away, she saw Alison wipe a couple of tears fall from her eyes. "Hey, why are you crying?" She whispered.
"I-I expected you to y-yell at me... and-and... you're here being all nice.. Why?!" Ali yelled, trying to push Emily off but the brunette just wrapped her arms around the blonde girl.
"Because I love you."
"You cant!" Ali said and pulled away as Emily studied her face confusingly. Why was her face face getting red and most of all, why was she getting angry?
"Why not?" She asked softly.
"Because... because I've been married to Elliot since I was 16."
"W-who's Elliot..?" Emily asked, feeling a pang in her chest. She furrowed her eyebrows. Alison was married. What the hell.
"He's just this guy–" Alison said but was interrupted by a now furious Emily Fields.
"Why the fuck would you marry someone when you're clearly in love with me. You let me down, Ali. You made me fall in love with you. I love you, goddamnit!" Alison flinched as Emily slammed her hands on her desk, her chest heaving up and down as she panted heavily. "What did I do to deserve this?!" She yelled and turned towards the blonde girl. "Is he the reason why you left me? Huh? Answer me!"
"Yes!" Ali finally answered. Emily was taken aback, though. She didn't know that Alison was actually going to answer her. "I..I'm sorry, Em. I..I never really knew that you fell for me too. You're so confusing! You like me and you don't... you give me signals.. but-but they've always been in my imagination."
"No they weren't!" Emily shouted and when she sees Ali flinch back again, she cleared her throat. "Sorry." She whispered. "I..It's just.. Ali, I love you, okay? But I don't think you feel the same way anymore." She said, her voice sounding defeated as she sighed heavily and wiped her tears.
She went around her desk and sat on her chair. Ali sniffled and watched Emily's every movement. "Sit." The brunette commanded and motioned her hand on the seat in front of her. Ali nodded her head and sat down.
"So, you'd like to help us run our branch in Rosewood?" Emily questioned, her voice suddenly turning professional and firm. Ali blinked and nodded her head. Emily raised a perfect brow and placed her hands on her keyboard before typing. "Let's see about that then."

"What?!"
"I know!" Emily squeaked out and paced back and fourth. "I don't know what to do, Han. I offered her an office right in front of mine! I-I don't know how that happened but–"
Hanna, being a good concerned bestfriend, stood up and placed her hands assuringly on the side of Emily's arms. "It's going to be fine, Em. Just... just relax, okay?" She pulled the brunette into an embrace and hummed a song. "You'll be fine.." She whispered and rubbed her bestfriend's back comfortingly as Emily sobbed in her arms.
