11:15 a.m.

As I woke up, I realized today was going to be a racketed day for me. Today is my little sister High School graduation, Five clients want thier hair done today, and I'm hosting Kassie's Birthday party later on tonight. I sat up in my bed, resting my head on the head board to try to get myself to wake up more.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Samajae burst into my bedroom excited early this morning.

"Mommy's big boy is woke!" I picked him up and pulled him on to my lap. My baby boy Samajae means the world to me. When he was born I couldn't believe what my eyes were looking at. All I thought about while I was in labor for 17 hours, was I couldn't wait to kiss my precious baby boy for the rest of my life. Samajae daddy is serving time right now for 30 years. When Samajae was 7 months, inside of my belly, the police interrupted and arrested him at my baby shower. Ever since then I told myself I would love Samajae and never leave him no matter what happens.

I'm only 22 years old, a single mother and hard working women. My mother and Grand-Mother always helped me when I needed the help but I didn't want to depend on them forever. When I turned 19 I started my own Salon in my grand-mother basement; then when I turned 21 I found a place to have my own salon and started hire other hair stylist.

"Mommy? Can- Can I go to Taylor house today?" Samajae asked me so politely, like I've been teaching him to, while playing with the covers.

"Well actually Samajae, mommy has to get ready so she can leave and go to auntie Summer's graduation. But I can have Maria take you over there." I didn't want to tell Samajae no.

"Okay that's fine." Samajae smiled hard at me.

"Go ask Maria if she could take you." I kissed Samajae on his forehead in between every word I said. "And ask her politely." Samajae jumped down off my bed like a hyper monkey.

*Ring... Ring... Ring...Ring*

Simone! Finally yo ass answer my phone calls. I been trying to reach you all morning.

A'Shawnti Monaye Love Curry, one crazy ass bitch but she is my ONLY true best friend I have besides my little sister Summer. Me and A'Shawnti been best friends since freshman year in high school. She had that " I DON"T GIVE A FUCK" attitude, which she still does, and I knew right away we was going to be best friends. A'Shawnti was the first one to know about my pregnancy. I was so scared she actually came with me to tell my family. She also been a second mommy to Samajae since he was born.
