Something To Remember

"Ugh! I'm going to be late." I said in my head as I hurried back and forth from the bathroom and my room. I couldn't miss this day for anything. Today is my little sister High School graduation and I promise I wouldn't miss this one. She survived all the hard homework's, tests, and girl/boy drama, something I didn't do, and got her diploma.

"Okay Maria, I'm leaving I won't be back till later, so can you please take Samajae to Taylor's house?" I started taking things out my purse and switching them into another purse.

"My grand-daughter is having surgery in a few hours I have to get there right now." Maria was my only hope and I forgot all about her plans.

"Samajae I guess you have to come with me. Come on let's get in the car." I grabbed my keys off the kitchen counter and said good bye to Maria and left out.

"Put your seat belt on Samajae." I looked in my rearview mirror at Samajae putting his seat belt on. The light for gas started blinking on and off. I rushed over to the gas station close to me to get some gas.

I could notice the men standing outside the station were staring at me. I put on this beige strapless dress with my cheetah print 6 inch heels. I dress up everyday like this even going to the nail shop.

"How you doin Ms. Lady." The man said as he opened the door to let us in. "I'm fine, thank you." I responded to him, keeping my attention on Samajae. I walked fast back to my car, putting the pump into the gas tank. Then I noticed someone was walking towards me.

"Excuse me? You left your phone sitting on the counter inside." He stuck his hand out with my phone in his hand. I lift my head up and met his eyes. They were greenish hazel with his caramel skin complexion. His smile was so perfect I couldn't stop staring at him. "Is this yo phone?"

"Uh.. Yeah, I'm sorry If I was staring. You have the most beautiful eyes ever." I started starring more at his eyes. The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. His eyes were something to remember.

"It's okay. I get that a lot. Well I have to go. Don't forget yo phone next time cause I won't be around to give it to you." He gave me a smirk walking back to his BMW truck.

"Mommy can we leave?" I turned around and took the pump out and got back in the car.

1:19 p.m

Summer Janelle Taylor... My little sister stepped on the stairs, walked on to the stage and shook everyone's hand on stage. Me, our mother, our grandmother and little Samajae all clapped really loud for Summer as she waved at us smiling extra hard like she won 100 million dollar jackpot. I decided to bring Samajae with me anyway.

"I'm so proud of you!." I hugged Summer so tightly.

"Thanks sis... So where we gone eat at?" Summer picked Samajae up.

"Um.. It's up to you actually." She stood wuiet for a second. "I would like to go Grand Lux Café." I gave Summer a look.

"Okay let's go there." Summer started walking out first. I knew she always wanted a car but mama couldn't afford one for her, so I decided so buy her a brand new 2012 white Porsche.

"Wait, before we leave I want to give you your present." I smiled at her knowing she hated surprises.

"What is it Simone?" Summer put Samajae down and put her hand on her hip. I pulled out a tiny black box and handed to her slowly. Summer looked up at me, then mama, and grandma and opened the box to see a key chain inside.

"AHHHH! It's a Porsche!" Summer jumped up and down excited. " Where is it?"

"Over there." Mama said pointing to the white truck.

Summer ran down to the car screaming the whole time and hugged it, then she walked around it and started crying. The people around us started starring and smiling. My baby sister is growing up so fast; I couldn't just give her a simple present.

"Simone...I-I can't believe you did this! I love you so much sis." She walked over and gave me a big hug and cried even more.

"Summer this yo car?" Her best friend Destiny walked up and asked.

"Yes! Simone just bought this for me!" Then all of a sudden some more of the other kids came over and started asking questions.

"We gotta go Summer." I whispered into her ear as a signal as to hurry up and just leave.

We finally drove off in Summer's brand new car with the windows down. I decided to let her drive us to dinner. I turned on to our favorite song I Wanna be down By Brandy and played it loud.

After dinner Summer drove me and Samajae home, so I could change clothes and drop Samajae at my friend Taylor's house. Tonight I got to host Kassie's Birthday Party at Club Playhouse on 71st and Stony Island. I managed to hurry up and get change quickly and still leave the house on time. I hope tonight go as planed and no one fights or die on my time because I don't need to be worrying about anything.
