ELatimer: I Am Anastasia

YO, YO, YO! What's up, Wattpadians of Wattpadia? This is Carly, AKA carlysuerose, AKA Fishay Fishay coming to you not-so-live from the capitol of Wattpadia, Realism, Genreland, where they have the best chocolate south of the Fiction Line!

Ignore my crazy person lingo.

So, recently I had the oppurtunity to interview one of the most popular authors on this site. That's right, ELatimer! #FANGIRL! No, seriously, I was trying to hold in my emotions through this whole conversation.  But, they did slip a little towards the end.

The interview follows:

Sorry! I just finished an interview with PandasAreEvil456, so I've been trying to update that. But now I'm ready

So, first question:

I think all of us know the feeling of wanting to be like a character in a book. But what inspired you to write a story about it?

I Am Anastasia was partly born out of my frustrations with all the rejections I was getting at the time. I think everyone deals with frustration differently. Some people might find it helps to be physically active, others lose themselves in a movie or book. Writers tend to channel it through their characters. Totally inserting yourself into a story is sort of a rookie move, but we all do it at some point.

Well, sometimes rookie moves make the best stories. It seems like you take a long time to come up with these story ideas. How many ideas do you have to trash, if any, before you finally get a good one?

I have the problem of having TOO many ideas. I think many writers struggle with this. It's not so much having  to "trash" an idea, as having to pick the best one. Usually there is one that keep nagging at me, that keeps popping up in my brain and won't leave me alone. That's usually the one I go for.

Sounds like a good method, considering some of the stories you've written. In fact, you're pretty well known on this site. Do you consider yourself any better than some of the other authors on this site?

Not at all. Everyone goes through different stages in their writing journey. The thing I love about wattpad is that I've met people of all ages and writing levels on here. I've met some amazing writers, some of them very young. As a teenage writer I had no Wattpad. I didn't know any authors, or anyone else who loved writing. It was a bit lonely. I think it's great that wattpad lets people reach out and connect with others who are passionate about the same thing, and I try to help young writers, or people who are just starting out, as much as I possibly can.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

On Wattpad: @RebeccaSky @KellieSheridan4 @EricaCrouch @alt200

Off Wattpad: Neil Gaiman, Laini Taylor, Maureen Johnson, Maggie Stiefvater. I get to meet Maggie and Maureen this month! *break for fangirl freak out*.

I'm sure we're all familiar with the fangirl!

So, is there anyone specific you'd like to dedicate his interview to?

Oooh, that's a hard one. Probably @alt2004 she's been helping me out a LOT lately. :)

Well, this experience has been extremely exciting for me (especially because you're one of my favorite authors). Is there anything you'd like to leave the readers with?

Aaaw! *virtual squishy hugs*

Just one piece of advice/encouragement: We are all still learning to write. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out, or you're JK Rowling. Everyone is slowly learning and improving. Don't ever let anyone discourage you. Take the advice that lifts you up and makes you a better writer, ignore the stuff that pulls you down.

Happy writing!

*tries to contain fangirling*

Well, thanks so much for doing this! And thanks for sharing your thoughts with me and the Wattpadians of Wattpadia. This interview and your rating should be up by Monday.

That was awesome. I just...no. Just...

This...and House of Hades...and Caleo...

Okay, well now we have three things to do

1. Kill Rick Riordan because of his dedication

2. Love Rick Riordan because he ships Caleo as well

3. RATE THIS INTERVIEW

Okay, well I have nothing to say as of this interview. Inspiration is low. Probably because my brain is so tired from fangirling.

So, basically, how this works is I rate the author on four categories

Enthusiasm(15)

Thankfulness(10)

Writing style (20)

Passion for Writing (5)

There's a possible total of 50 points. I then combine that total with the book rating to get the total score. At the end of this book, the author with the highest point total wins.

But that's not all! The authors can also recieve bonus points! For every comment(1 per person) telling me how great the persons writing is in 3 or more sentences, I'll add a point.

 *Drumroll...*

My rating for ELatimer is

*Drumroll stops*

KEEP GOING YOU IDIOTS

*Drumroll continues*

Enthusiasm: 13

*Drumroll stops*

I SAID KEEP GOING

*Drumroll continues*

*lol suspense*

Enthusiasm: 13

Thankfulness: 6

Writing Style: 17

Passion for Writing: 5

Which means her total is: 41

GREAT SCORE

*kisses ELatimers feet*

So, the scores so far:

PandasAreEvil456: 42

ELatimer: 41

Okay, so book scores. There's a total of 50 possible points:

Grammar/Punctuation/Learning Stuff: 10

Creativity: 15

Overall Quality: 25

Now, for PandasAreEvil's score on her book, Someone to Save You:

Grammar/Punctuation/Learning Stuff: 9

Creativity: 13

Overall Quality: 21

That's a total book score of 43! That's a complete score of.....................

85 points! Remember, you can add bonus points to your Authors by leaving 3 sentence comments on their interview about how perfectly awesome they are.

WELL, see ya later Wattpadians! This is Carly, signing out.

*Shoves chocolate in her mouth*

Sincerely,

     ^
