As Kaden headed back into the woods making sure no one saw him. He thought the boy will be fine a little woozy nothing a little snack wouldn't fix. Nothing to prove that he was ever in the truck or that something was amiss.
Traveling the short distance to his coven which is called Daylight Coven. Which in itself held irony the myth of the day light vanquishing any night walker along with being allergic to garlic, and dying by a stake to the heart although might slow one down it will not leave one in a pile of dust.
he'd made it at last to his castle. Being a prince had it's perks. As he thrust open the doors he could hear his sister up stairs fussing about her hair. Hearing him as well she came out of her room to greet him
"Hello brother, I presume your search was a bust." His little sister did little to ever hold her tongue. Standing at only 5"7 with long brown hair only to have it red this time. Her eyes chestnut brown and a face that would draw anyone to her, and a face that would leave her opponents to piss in their pants when she got angry.
"Yeah I didn't find her." He said in a flat voice. He didn't want his sister to hear the disappointment in his voice he'll never hear the end of it.
Just as he thought, she cooed "Aww my big brother hasn't found his soul mate." She didn't believe, or whereas she didn't want to believe there was some sorry sap out there looking to spend all eternity with her. Kaden pinched the bridge of his nose. "I've searched the North and South I'm beginning to think she's dead." He'd been thinking about it on his trip, but as he spoke his thoughts out loud he began to feel worse. His sister saw this in the way he hunched his shoulders. So putting aside her feelings about the whole soul mate thing gliding down the stairs hand on his shoulder, saying "cheer up big bro you'll find her." He looked into her eyes searching for a joke in her words. "Really?" eyes wide with hope. "Really, now tell me did you encounter any of those mangy mutts." Accepting the distraction of his non-existing love life, he replied with a sneer "yeah but they won't be seeing anything until the next life." "Good those damn werewolves aren't so tough." Throwing out a few shadow punches, "I would have taken out a few of my own." "Yeah I know," knowing the full extent of his sister's wrath. After hearing the details of her brother's trip his sister leaves to fuss over her hair.
Passing the stairs his sister took he went into his study. Before he got there he asked one of the servants passing by for a cup of A positive blood and grapes. Entering his study he sighed and started on piles of paperwork waiting for him. Looking up as one servant, a human came in shaking slightly.
Putting the blood and grapes down she stuttered "w-will that be all Master Kaden?" Looking at her she must've been about 16 she had long black hair, eyes a very deep blue for a human, a little on the short side standing at 5 feet very pretty too, but sadly not his soulmate. "How old are you child" he had kept his voice soft to not scare her away. From the looks of it she was not far from bolting for the door. "Sixteen" she replied with her voice stronger than before. He knew his sister especially picked her. He smiled at her in a teasing way, "do you have a name?" "Yes, and it's Destiny." Kaden eyes darken for a second not liking the tone she took with him, but dismissed it. She had balls not a lot of humans that knew of him, and what he was would dare speak to him in that manner. "Destiny what a lovely name, my sister must really like you." He smiled with his fangs out, a smile as of late his sister only sees. Destiny stiffened at the mention of his sister. She replied, "Master Kaden I have a lot of chores to get to if that's all I'd like to get back to them please." Totally ignoring the subject of his sister's interest. With a knowing smile he said, "that would be all." She started for the door he called out to her, ""Destiny", she turned slightly already halfway out the door it's Kaden"" and with that Destiny closed the door leaving a very amused vampire.Working in his study well into the night he decided to go stretch his legs before heading to bed. Walking out the door he breathed in the night air, he began running and thinking about his mate. What would she look like? what class of vampire would she be in? She could be a human for all he cared. As he slowed, noticing he'd been going west he heard a lone hurt howl. It wasn't his problem the only thing that made his body move in the direction of the damned wolf was the scent. Almost as if an invisible string pulling him, he soon smelled her "mate" he said between his fangs they had fully come out during the acknowledgement of finally finding his soulmate.
