Kanan And Ezra One Shots (ON HOLD)

Betrayal

Ezra's pov

Kanan and I ran through the corridors of the prison base, looking for the right cell number. Cell 107, floor C. Reports of a Jedi youngling, age 14, was captured by the Empire. As we ran side by side down the hall, I counted the cells as they went by. 105...106...107! We stopped at the cell. I looked at Kanan as he ignited his lightsaber and cut through the steal door. When he was done I climbed through the hole, looking around the cell. I spotted a Twi'leck girl sitting on the stone bench with her head down. I studied her appearance. Her skin was a light orange with Grey spots scattered on her Lekku's. She had a mixture of bounty hunter and pilot clothes. Kanan came in behind me. She lifts her head at the notice of us

"Who are you?" She asks and looked at our sabers hanging from our belts.

"I'm Kanan and this is Ezra. We're Jedi. We're here to rescue you." Kanan explains to her.

Oh, I almost forgot!

I reached at my belt and handed her a silver handled lightsaber with two sides.

"Here, I believe this is yours." I say and hand her the lightsaber. She stands up and takes it.

"Thanks. I'm Jade by the way. Jade Karrison." Jade says. She smiled. Kanan returned one back to her. I sighed in disgust.

"Enough chat, bucketheads are gonna be swarming this place any minute now. C'mon!" I say and run out of the cell, Jade and Kanan close behind.

~ TIME SKIP ~

"Thanks again for helping me." She says and bows to Kanan. I looked at Kanan confused, but he bowed back. "If you excuse me, i need to make a transmission to my master."

Kanan put a hand on her shoulder, the same way he does to me. "Of course, this way." He says and leads her to his room.

I roll my eyes and sighed. Something is off about her, I just know it. I suddenly get an idea. I look up and jump through the vent. It was still big enough for my 15 year old body to fit through. I crawl my way to Kanan's cabin. Once i got in front of the vent gate i look and see Jade talking to a hooded figure on the Holotable. I suddenly felt a cold force wash over me. I leaned in to listen.

"Do the rebels suspect anything?"

"No master, they do not."

"Good. Now you must carry on the rest of the plan. Kill the Jedi then the rest of those retched rebels. Got it Jade?"

"Yes master."

"Oh my god! I have to tell Kanan!" I whisper to myself and back myself in the vent to get out. I find enough space to turn around then I open the vent to get out. Once I jump out i bolt off to find Kanan.

I run around the corner and bump into someone. I look up and see the familiar goatee.

"Woah Ezra, what's the rush?" He asks me.

"Its jade! She's an inquisitor!" I say.

"What? Ezra why would you say that?" He yells confused.

"Its true. I heard her myself. She said she was to kill me and you! " I say desperately trying to get him to believe me.

" Ezra I knew you were jealous but i would have never thought you'd make up some ridiculous story!" He yells.

"Why would i make this up! It's true! We're in danger!"

"No we are not! No padawan of mine is gonna be a jealous little freak! Now get out of my sight! " He yells. I jump up at the tears start to form at the brim of my eyes. I run out of the room with one last glance back.

I turn around and lock the door of my room. I slide down the side of the door giving out a soft sob. I put my knees to my chest and bury my face in my hands. All of a sudden everything goes black.

What's going on?

A picture showed up of Kanan sitting at the holotable rubbing his goatee, like he was thinking deeply about something. But that's when i see Jade sneaking up behind him, her lightsaber ignited. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice her. She smirks and launches forward, stabbing Kanan in the chest. I cry out to Kanan as he screams in agony.

I open my eyes and see my room. "That a vision!" I yell and jump up, running out of my room. I bolt straight to the common room.

I run through the doorway to see the same scene that was in my vision. Jade was behind Kanan, ready to pounce.

"No!" i scream and jump in front of Kanan. "Ezra?" Kanan asks confused. Everything goes in slow motion from here. Instead of Kanan getting hit, I do. I scream out in agony and fall to the metal floor.

"Ezra!" I hear Kanan scream my name but it was already to late. Red dots danced around my vision as blackness engulfed me.

Kanan's pov

"Ezra!" I scream as he falls. I could see the blood start to spread on his side and to the floor.

"No!" I scream and ignite my lightsaber. "Give up Jedi! You can't save him! By the time you kill me then he'll be dead!" She says and smirks.

I close my eyes and take breathe. My eyes open. "Then I'll avenge his death." She looked at me baffled. "Revenge is not the Jedi way." She spits out. I smirk this time . "I'm no Jedi." I say and swung my lightsaber at an opening. She looked down to see blood seeping through her stomach, then dropped to the floor.

I drop my lightsaber and run to Ezra's side. "Ezra? Ezra? Oh my god!" Tears start to form in my eyes as i pick him up and run to the med bay. I grab my com and yell for all specters to go to the med bay.

I get there and lay Ezra down on the bed. I take off Ezra's shirt to reveal the bloody cut on his side.

"Oh my god..." I mumble under my breath. The rest of the crew came barreling into the med bay after Kanan's call. Hera looked down at Ezra and immediately broke into 'mother hen mode'.

She shooed us out after a few panicky questions. I guess Ezra woke up during the clean up because Sabine, Zeb and I could hear him yelling. Sabine and Zeb both stared at me as i paced the room back and forth. Sabine was sitting on the couch crying and Zeb was sitting in the wooden chair tapping his foot anxiously.

"This is all my fault. If I had believed him when he said Jade was betrayal, none of the would have happened." I sigh. Sabine looked at me in sadness. "He'll be okay Kanan. I'm sure of it."

Exactly after she said that, Hera came walking in. "He's going to be fine. He didn't lose to much blood." She explains. We all let out breath didn't know we were holding. "Is he awake?" I ask.

"Yeah. He says he wants to talk to you." She answers. I look at Zeb and Sabine. They nod and i mouth the word 'thanks'. I walk into the med bay and see him. I hurry over to his side.

"I'm so sorry Ezra, this is all my fault. I should have listened to you instead of-" I was cut off by him hugging me. I was surprised at first but i quickly hug back.

"Don't blame yourself...please." He says still hugging me. "But-" "Promise me!" I sighed. My eyes close as i hug him tighter.

"I promise."
