It's been a week since I've been hired as a waitress and let me tell you, I am drowning in excuses. Every time I'm called in for a shift, I have to make up some lame ass excuse to give Luke like, "I'm going to the mall." or the classic, "I'm going to study at the library." I'm not telling Luke about me having the job because I know he will use it against me and tease me for it. Ah siblings.

"Andy, table four needs cleaning!" Calum yelled from the back.

I groaned reaching over the counter and grabbing a rag. Calum is making it so hard for me to like him when he's giving me all these gross jobs to do. Walking over to table four, I could see that a kid in hysterics was drenched in chocolate milk and so was his father. I turned around trying to avoiding this whole situation, but then Calum put his hand on my shoulder turning me back around. I sighed. Stupid Calum, always showing up when I want him there least. Walking to the family, I gave a small smile before cleaning off the table and handing the father more napkins and heading back to the back.

As I was about to put down my rag, Calum-oh sweet, sweet Calum yelled again, "Andy, table ten drop off!" I groaned grabbing to pans about to bash them over my head, but then my savior, my hero, Calum took hem before I could.
"Andy, stop it. It's not that big of a deal, here. " he says handing me the tray of pizzas.
I give a sarcastic smile, "Thanks Cailou." He rolled his eyes walking away. I head off to table ten starting to hear familiar laughs. I glance over the side of a man and realize the laughs belonged to Luke, my brother and Michael, the guy I'm practically in love with. There's no way they can see me like this! I almost instantly back up fumbling the tray over a baby's head and run back into the kitchen. I run over to the first person I see shoving the tray into their arms. "Table ten, good luck homie."
Steve, who is the person I handed the duty off to, just had to have a problem with this. "Andy, I am not taking your table just because you're too lazy to do it yourself! No sir!" He yells waving around a finger.
I mumble, "Just do it Steve! You owe me one."
He raises his eyebrows, "Girl, I ain't owe you nothin'!"
"Woah, woah, woah. What seems to be the problem here?" You can guess who's voice that belongs to.
"Calum, Andy is trying to hand off her responsibilities again." Steve whines almost like a man child.
"Andy, really? Come on now. How many times do I have to set you straight?"
I rolled my eyes , "Oh Calum, I love it when you talk dirty to me."
Calum sighed. "Just do it, will you?"
"No, I can't." I said almost panicky.
Calum raised his eyebrow taking the tray from Steve and handing it to me. "Too bad, so sad." He pouted out his lip before smirking and walking off. Calum is just playing hard to get, I get that now. I groaned heading out to Luke's table keeping my head low.
When I got to the table, I quickly set down the tray avoiding their stares. I deepened my voice, "Uh, there you go. It's hot so take caution." With that, I quickly turned around.
"Andy..?" I heard just as I was about to walk off.
I widened my eyes, "No, no! This isn't Andy. You've got the wrong man, thank you!" I ran off to the kitchen knocking over a few cups.
I stayed in the back of the kitchen hiding out for the rest of my shift afraid that they would spot me again. When my shift was over, I quickly grabbed my tips for the day hanging up my apron and headed home.
Once in my house, I shut the door behind me and slumped down against it sighing. I'm hoping Luke had totally forgotten about today and is just in his room passed out over a box of doughnuts like he usually is. Fortunately for me, he came around the corner leaning against the side frame.
"Do I have the right man this time, Andy?" He asked in a sarcastic matter yet not at all mockingly.
I sighed, "I was hoping you would have forgotten about that."
He smiled for a second walking over to me. "How could I have forgotten my twin sister trying to pretend like she was someone else working at a restaurant?" He said. I groaned slumping down to the floor. "Why didn't you tell me you got a job, Andy? I thought we told each other everything?" He said almost seeming upset for a moment.
"Because I didn't want you making fun of me" I said and he raised an eyebrow. "And because I was trying to save up enough money to pay you back for all the rent I've missed. I wanted to surprise you-guess that ideas' down the drain."
When I thought he was going to laugh at me, he did opposite and sat down beside me taking my hand and playing with it. "Andy, I'm very surprised so congrats on that. But, you don't have to pay me back. All I want is for you is to have the rent money on time."
I looked over at him, "So what you're saying is..I don't have to do this terrible job anymore?"
He laughed throwing my hand back at me. "No, you don't. Is it really that terrible?" He asked seeming a bit surprised.
"Yeah, I can't even count the amount of time they've had me clean up someone's throw up over the course of one week." We both scrunched our noses at the thought.
"That's fricken nasty." He remarked and I nodded thinking for a minute.
"Luke, would you be willing to help me with something important?"
He looked at me weirdly, "Depends, what is it?"
I smirked. "A quitting parade."
