I woke to Luke pounding on my door.

"ANDY!! THE LANDLORD IS HERE!" he yelled.

My eyes widened and I jumped out of bed and opened my door. Luke was standing there nervous and panicked. "Why is he here?" I say just as nervous as him.

"Our rent is due, where's your share?" he asked.

My eyes widened even larger than they could before if that was possible, "Uhhhh..uhhh," I hesitated. "I kinda spent it all on pizza."

Luke face palmed himself, "ANDY!" he yelled angrily.

"I'M SORRY THAT I GET HUNGRY SOMETIMES..sheesh Luke!" I yelled back.

"You're lucky I prepared for this." he said going back out my room.

"That's pretty sad that you knew I was gonna fuck up." I mumbled.

He popped his head back into my room, "It's pretty sad that you never have your share of the rent!" he yelled and walked back out. What a savage.

I walked out of my room with my arms crossed and a pout on my face. I took one look at Luke and rolled my eyes, sitting on the couch. He handed over the money to the landlord and closed the door. Looking over at me, he shook his head. I narrowed my green blue eyes at him and he just walked to his room. I sighed and walked to my room also.

Opening my bedroom window above my bed, I hopped out it and sat with my knees to my chest on the fire escape. I have to pay him back. I thought to myself. But how, was the real question. I mean I could always sell every item in my room-no..too much work. Aha! I quickly scrambled back into my room and made my way to my closet.

Throwing on the most professional outfit I own, I climbed back out the window and down the fire escape. Once I reached the bottom, I made my way down the sidewalk and down to Joe's pizzeria. Walking inside, I found myself waiting behind a mother and boy that I'm guessing was her son seeming to be around four years old.

The boy huffed and threw his head back obviously annoyed because it was taking too long to be seated. While he threw his head back, he caught a glance of me behind him. He turned around looking up at me and tilting his head slightly. I stuck my tongue out at him causing him to giggle and copy me. His mother took one look at me and rolled her eyes pulling her son up into her arms. He looked over his shoulder at me and crossed his eyes. I copied him and he laughed hysterically. His mother quickly followed the waiter in after that between being annoyed at the wait time and me trying to lighten the mood.

I stepped up to the counter and grabbed a salt shaker. I spoke into it, "Joe! I'd like a job with a salary of maybe $1,000 a day give or take a few!"

Some random guy stepped out from the kitchen rolling his eyes, "You know, there's actually no one who works here with the name of Joe."

I gasped, "You've got to be fucking kidding me?!" I slammed the salt shaker down. "This is just-yeah I'm just messing with you. I already knew that, I'm just here for a job." I smiled confirming myself.

The same guy sighed handing me papers and pointed to a booth, "Fill out the papers over there and call me over when you're finished because unfortunately, I'll be the one interviewing you today." He gave a faked smile and a sarcastic fist pump.

I looked him up and down spotting his name tag, "Cal..lum? Cute name, reminds me of Cailou." I grinned proud of myself.

He sighed, "Just fill out the papers, yeah?" I nodded and he handed me the papers attached to a clipboard along with a pen.

Sitting down at the booth, I filled out the papers that just asked my personal information and if I've had previous job experience. I made sure to make myself look like a star student.

When I finished, I yelled, "Cailou, I'm done!" He looked up from the counter glaring at me back walked over. He took the sheets and read over them.

He stopped about mid-page before looking back up to me, "It says here that you were Beyonce's boob sweat dryer on her most recent tour?"

I smiled, "It sure does. You'd think Beyonce's sweat would smell good, wouldn't you?"

He chuckled a bit before rubbing his face and looking back at the paper. Shaking his head he looked up and laughed, "Seems legit, you've got the job, kid."

I jumped up on the counter and did a jig. "YES!"

Calum cleared his throat looking up at me. I looked down and stopped getting down, "Sorry about that."

He chuckled, "It's alright mate. You can start now if you'd like. I'm about to clock out, but I'll get you started." He walked to the kitchen and I followed. He grabbed a black apron and handed it to me. "You're the new waitress. Tie that around your waist." he said.

I tilted my head looking at it in confusion. "Would you like some help?" he said and I nodded. He took the apron from me and placed it around my waist. He walked behind me tying it. As he did, I caught a whiff of his cologne and damn did that boy smell good. "Damn you smell good." I quickly covered my mouth. He finished tying the apron and came back around chuckling, "Thank you..uh I never actually got your name."

I raised an eyebrow, "I wrote it on the paper, but whatever." I held out my hand, "I'm Andy, Andy Hemmings."

He took my hand and shook it, "Nice to meet you." I nodded smiling.

"Now! IT'S TIME TO WAIT SOME TABLES!" I ran out of the kitchen, but before I could make it past the front counter, I was tugged back.

"Hang on tiger," He laughed. "You've got to be nice to the customers, they're always right. Also, here's your pad to take the orders on." He said whilst handing me a notepad. I nodded and ran again.

Walking over to a table, I tied up my hair. I smiled politely and copied an introduction from several movies that I binge watched because I'm too poor to go to restaurants. "Hi, I'm Andy and I'll be your waitress today. What can I get you guys?"

"CAKE!" (a/n: *coughs* calum and luke) a little boy yelled. I looked at him chuckling and realized it was the boy from before. I looked at the mother who was still looking annoyed. She spoke, "No Daniel, it's a pizza restaurant so how about some pizza?" He stuck out his tongue thinking, "Okay! I'll have a really really really cheesy pizza!" I chuckled writing it down making sure to get every 'really'. His mother sighed and nodded, "Make it a small pie please." I nodded writing that down also. "I'll be right back." I smiled and walked back to the kitchen handing the note to the chef or whatever he's called. "Make it extra cheesy man." He rolled his eyes and turned back to his pizza making. "Snappy today are we?" I snapped my fingers at him walking away.

Walking back out to venture more tables, I accidentally bumped into Calum again. He gripped my waist to keep us from falling back, but I think he wanted a taste of this Hemmings. I mean, he may have called me a kid back in the kitchen, but I felt the chemistry- or was it the smell of onions getting to me? Either way, I had to stop myself from smirking when he placed me back on my feet.

"Sorry about that Andy." He looked down at me rubbing the back of his neck obviously embarrassed because his cheeks were tinted with a light shade of pink.

At this point, I couldn't hold it back anymore. I full on smirked, "It's alright, I had a nice trip." I didn't mean for a pun to come out, back it works. I have to thank my cousin for that one.

He laughed shaking his head. "That's a knee slapper." he chuckled even putting in the effort to actually slap his knee. I might take a big liking to this boy. Sorry Michael, but you've got some competition now.
