What Love Feels Like {Complete}

Chapter 12

Zach's POV

I was sitting in the back of a van with Gray as Claire sat in the front. I turned and saw a screen with videos on it. On the screen I saw Owen and Ellie riding motorbikes, surrounded by Charlie, Echo, Blue and Delta.

"Your boyfriend's a badass." I said with a smirk as we watched the screens.

"Your girlfriend's a badass." Gray said, also smirking.

"She's not my girlfriend idiot...well, not yet." I replied, playfully shoving him. Looking back at the screens, the raptors running through the woods trying to find the huge monster.

"Okay that's enough." Claire said, shutting the small window and we slid back into our seats.

After a while of just sitting there, I opened the window again, seeing that the raptors were getting in the hunting position, meaning that the Indominus Rex must be close. The SWAT team, Ellie and Owen gathered, hiding behind trees and crouching behind bushes with guns in their hands.

The raptors suddenly halted in front of the huge monster that appeared from the trees.

The two begun to communicate through a series of growls, and the raptors turned to the SWAT team, Ellie and Owen and began to bare their teeth and growl.

"That monster is...part raptor?" I spoke, unable to believe what was happening in front of me.

Suddenly a bloody hand hit Claire's window, causing us all to scream loudly.

"DRIVE." the man shouted before getting pounced on by a raptor. Claire hit the pedal as we sped off, sending Gray and I flying from our chairs.

As we drove on the uneven ground, our car sped over a bump causing the back doors to fly open. One of the raptors running after our car was catching up very quickly. I grabbed a gun and shot at the dinosaur multiple times before it was actually hit. Struggling up, Gray and I both wobbled over to the doors and, with a struggle, closed them, locking them from the inside.

Soon enough we arrived at the lab, jumping out of the van to meet Ellie and Owen.

Ellie's POV

"I'm so glad you're okay." Claire said hugging Owen tightly.

I looked around and saw Zach. I ran and gave him a huge hug from behind.

"Oh my god. You're okay!" Zach said, holding me tight.

"Of course. Did you think you could get rid of me that easily?" I said with a wink.

I then felt another pair of arms wrapping around my waist, and I turned around to see Gray.

"I thought you died." he said, his head buried in my waist.

"Aw sweetie it's okay. I wouldn't leave you guys and Owen." I replied, ruffling his hair.

We carried on walking and made our way to the lab. When we arrived, no-one else was anywhere to be found. I wandered around the room by the edges, looking into the cages of small reptiles, where the slimy snakes slithered and the frogs jumped up and down.

"They left. All of them at once." Claire said, confused.

"Well, well, well." Hoskins said appearing at the door, his permanent greedy smile etched on his face. How could he be acting this way at a time like this?

Anger built up inside of me and I was about to burst but something stopped me. I heard a powerful growl through the room and a hungry looking raptor came in, heading straight towards Hoskins.

"Whoa there Blue." he said, his hands raised above his face in an attempt to calm the raptor down. It didn't work, as the dino took off his whole hand in one clean bite.

Everyone began to run for the door and I followed. Before I exited, I turned around and looked at Hoskins laying on the floor.

"Her name is Charlie!" I yelled before following the others.
