What Love Feels Like {Complete}

Chapter 16 - Last Chapter :(

"What?" I said, and I felt the tears running down my cheeks.

"I'm so sorry El. But it'll be okay. I'll get a new phone when I get home and we can text, call and video chat every day. And I'll be coming back to visit aunt Claire every year, so at least we'll get to see each other then. Gray and I will be here for a month at a time. We can get through this." he said, and he pulled me into a hug.

"I love you." he said, before kissing me sweetly.

"I love you too." I said as we pulled away. Then he interlocked our fingers and we walked back over to his parents, Gray, Owen and Claire, and by the looks on their faces they knew what was going on.

I ended up going with Owen and Claire to drop them off at the airport. We walked inside and I heard their flight number being called out.

"I'm gonna miss you El." Gray said, wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning his head on my chest.

"I'm gonna miss you too munchkin." I said, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and putting my chin on his head. "But we'll see each other real soon okay?"

"Okay." he pulled back and I saw tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Don't cry angel." I said, squatting down next to him. "Look, I have something for you." I went into my backpack and pulled out my gifts for him. "This one's a raptor tooth," I handed him the tooth "and this one's a small replica of a t-rex claw." I gave him the claw.


"Thank you El. Love you." he said, hugging me.

"Love you too sweetie." I said, kissing him on the top of the head and he let go of me to go and hug Owen.

"Thank you so much again, for everything you did to look after our boys." Karen said, as both her and Scott wrapped their arms around me.

"It's no big deal. Thank you for letting your boys come here. I'm so glad I met them." I said, and they pulled away and smiled as they obviously went to thank Owen.

I looked down at my feet as I felt my tears fall. I felt 2 fingers under my chin lifting my face and I looked straight into Zach's eyes. He wiped the tears from my cheeks and I did the same to him as he pulled me into a hug. We stayed in our embrace for what seemed like forever until we heard the last call for his flight. We pulled back and I took a pen out of my backpack, writing my number on his arm, and looking him in the eye.

"El, I need to ask you something." he said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Did you really feel the need to ask?" I said with a smile, and he smiled and kissed me on the cheek before pulling me into a hug.

He then wrapped an arm around Grays shoulders and walking to the door, blowing me a kiss before he walked through.

"Zach wait!" I shouted, and ran to the door. He came back through and I jumped on him, wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck and put my head in the crevice between his neck and shoulder and I felt his arms around my waist. We stayed like this for what seemed like forever and then he put me down. We looked into each others eyes and he pulled me to him, kissing me sweetly. I felt tears run down my cheeks as we kissed and when he pulled away he wiped them away.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." he said, wrapping his arms around me and giving me one final kiss before walking through the door to get on his plane.

I sunk to the floor and pulled my knees to my chest, putting my head to my knees and just letting the tears free-fall. I heard footsteps coming towards me but didn't move. I felt myself being lifted up bridal style and I knew it was Owen as I buried my head in his chest as I felt him walking.

"It's okay kiddo. You know you always have me." Owen said.

"I'm just gonna miss him so much." I said.

"I know sweetie, I know."

It had only been a day but I had fallen hard for this sweet, nice, brave guy and I can't get him out of my head. I guess that's what love feels like.
