What Love Feels Like {Complete}

Chapter 14

Ellie's POV

The T-Rex's eyes lit up in the darkness that was exempt from the flare. I gradually backed up, taking a deep breath and ran faster then I ever have before, back to where everyone else was hiding. The T-Rex was on my heels, her huge three-toed feet stomping into the ground, forming vibrations across the floor.

I finally made it back to where the Indominus Rex was still fighting the extremely worn out raptors. Throwing the flare as close to the Indominus Rex as I could, it hit her on the side causing her to turn around straight away. She made eye contact with the T-Rex next to me, and a loud roar was let into the air by both beasts before the fight began.

Taking cover in the smoothie shop once again, I sat down in between the two boys, wrapping my arms around Gray protectively as he put his head on my shoulder.

"I told you I'd be back."

"I'm so glad you're okay." Zach said, wrapping his arms around me and Gray. I looked over the counter and was amazed at what I saw.

As the T-Rex bit into the back of the Indominus Rex, the raptors backed off and roars and growls kept echoing in the air. Being thrown into the ground with a thud, the T-Rex called out in pain whilst blood trickled out of bite mikes and scratches over her body. As the Indominus Rex went to bite the T-Rex one last time, she got distracted by the 4 raptors running towards her. Their teeth sunk into her scaly skin as the T-Rex for up for one last time.

She pushed the Indominus Rex, knocking her down, and to our surprise the huge mosasaurus jumped out of the water, snapped the Indominus Rex in her mighty jaws and dragged her underwater with a huge splash. Afterwards, the dinosaurs all ran off in their own directions, maybe heading back towards their enclosures.

We walked out of the smoothie shop and I saw Owen and Claire come out of wherever they were hiding. I ran to them, and jumped on Owen, engulfing him in a hug and wrapping my legs around his waist and I just burst into tears.

"It's okay. Sweetie you're okay. It's all over." he said, rubbing my back soothingly before putting me back down. I went over to Gray and gave him a huge hug, he nuzzled his head on my chest and I put my hand on his head. I kissed him on the top of the head and he smiled at me. I felt an arm coming around my shoulders and I saw Zach. I kissed him on the lips and leaned my head on his shoulder.

"So what happens now to the dinosaurs?" Gray said, looking at Owen and Claire.

"Well the government gave us two options. We either let them run free around the island which is really dangerous or we have to...kill them." Claire said.

"You can't do that." Gray said, glaring at Claire.

"I don't want them to die either sweetie, but we can't risk them somehow getting away from the island." I said, kissing his forehead.
