No! Craig is going again which means me and Ella are next! We were so close to escape and now me and Ella won't even be able to move when the time comes.
Ella is before me so she'll be for the most part healed. I'll just tell the others to go without me.
I'll get my chance at some point.

I'll be fine.

I lay awake not wanting to fall asleep if Ella wanted to talk to me. It's her turn tonight.
I hear crying. "Alex. I don't want this to happen! I don't like the pain!"

"I know. I promise we will get out soon." I tell her. "Just one more time and it will be over!" I say.

And then I realize something. I have a plan but it needs to happen before Ella gets beaten.
I need to get myself in trouble.

And I sure hope it's going to be worth it.

I hear footsteps. It's time to act. I take a deep breath.

"Hey Craig!" I yell out. "How's the ugly ass hole doing?"

"Alex! What are you doing?" Ella whisper yells at me. I give her a 'trust me' look and she nods her head.

I look at Craig and see absolute hatred in his disgusting hazel eyes.

"Looks like I'm taking a detour." He says in his scratchy smoker voice.

He walks closer to my cell and pulls out his key. I stand looking as bored as possible. He opens the door and walks in. He stares into my eyes and shows me his flogging stick. My heart quickens. I see Ella behind him, covering her eyes. Craig raises the stick over his head.

He brings it down fast but to me it looks like slow motion. I raise me hands up and feel the sting of the thin yet strong weapon. I ignore it. I wrap my hands around it and pull twords me as hard as possible, wrenching it out of his hand, I raise it over my own head.

His eyes look like I've never seen them. He's scared. No. He's terrified!

I kick him in the groind.

He yells.

I grab the key off the floor from where it fell and run out of the cell. I lock him in as he says some very choice words at me.

I unlock all the cells and tell everyone to run. To run as far away from here as possible. And they do. All except Ella, Ethan, Drew, and Nita. Ella and Nita hug me along with Drew. Ethan stands there with his arms folded over his chest , eyeing me from head to toe.

"You know? I kinda wish I had done that now." He says as he wraps his arms around me. I stand higher on my toes and he leans his head down and we kiss.

Everything, and everyone, else forgotten. He tilts his head slightly to the side and pulls me into him.

Drew coughs behind me. Neither of us hear him. He coughs again. I feel Ethan lift one hand of my back.

"Dude! One minute? Really? Let's get out of here!" He laughs. Ethan had held up one figure to him!
As we leave I hear a sob. Craig is crying!

We run out on the field and realize no one else knows about the broken part of the fence. Ella grabs a stick off the ground and throws it at the spot we saw was boken, and it is still broken!

Ethan klimbs over first and people turn to look. They all smile. I run to the fence and klimb over next, fallowed by Drew, Ella and Nita. The rest soon fallow. We sprint hard and fast through the woods, laughing and screaming with pure joy. I can't stop smiling. This is definantly a first.
