I've always had a problem with school. Other than my close group of friends, I've never really had any motivation to attend school. Teachers are boring, meals are gross and subjects fly by in a blur. I'm not saying I'm flunking any of my classes, it's just that none of them other than art really grab my attention.

Walking down the halls of Melrose Secondary School with my black leather bag on my shoulders I try and stay as lowkey as possible. But obviously that's not possible because everyone and their mothers knows I'm a model and have looked at me differently ever since.

Story goes that someone found pictures of me on the runway of Balmain SS16 and posted it to all their social medias. Soon, more and more people kept reposting the photos. Eventually, the entire student body had seen me modelling and had messaged me asking if I wanted to be 'friends' with them. Before that half of them barely even acknowledge my existence. But now since I know CaKe they want to hit me up and become 'best friends forever'.

Since then I've always try and blend in with everyone else by wearing dark colours only. Today included. I'm wearing an oversized grey sweater with a black skater skirt and brown combat boots. I never wear flashy clothes as that will only drive more attention towards me which is not needed at all.

Turning a corner I see my friends Aviana, Kora and Gianna standing by my locker waiting for me. Aviana's the first to see me and start dashing towards me in attempt to knock me down with one of her legendary hugs. I however know better and side step her before she hits impact. She stumbles a little but gets back on her feet in no time.

'Honestly Ria can't you appreciate my hugs for at least once?'

Walking up to everyone else, she comes and stands next to me. Turning to her with a smirk on my face and say 'I have once. I ended up with a bruise on my leg that didn't go away for a week. I learnt my lesson that day.'

Everyone starts to chuckle while Aviana just pouts. Besides her quirky personality, she's a very gorgeous person. With an Indonesian ethnicity, her copper coloured skin compliments her wavy midnight black locks. Large brown eyes and long lashes contrast with her pink lips. In my opinion she's stunning enough to become a model. I even suggested her to go to an agency. However she isn't interested in modelling and would much rather pursue a career in photography.

I grab my books from my locker while everyone chats about their weekend. Kora went to go and visit some relatives up in Manchester, Aviana had gone to take some photos in Camden and Gianna had stayed at home to finish writing a short story thats due for her English Literature class.

'So what did you do for the weekend Ria?' Gia asks.

It's always the same answer.

'Oh just went to some castings and got fitted for some shows that are coming up.'

Lie after lie after lie.

I believe that you should never lie to the people you love. And I love this group of girls infront of me. But, if the circumstances are that if I tell them the truth I would most likely have to kill them, I'll keep my mouth shut.

However, my answers are not entirely wrong. I do go for fittings and castings. But what I choose to not tell is that I train for 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. With the occasional runway show/mission squeezed into there somewhere.

I hate lying to them. They're the closest thing I will ever have to sisters and yet, here I am lying to them as if they were nothing more than just acquaintances. But if I'm keeping something from them that would out them in harms way, so be it.
